Lovely Spa Weekend but we could have done with being pre warned about the children's hour in the pool! Sadly we went to relax in the pool area after our pre booked treatments and it was children's hour! Awful, not relaxing at all! If they'd warned us when we booked we'd have chosen different times! Also, we wish it had... More

Didn't enjoy, spa and treatment facilities poor and unskilled therapists. No lunch facilities despite including lunch Not until half way through my treatment did the therapist tell me she wasn't qualified, the treatment took ages and I had to repaint toes immediately afterwards charged full price and hotel not interested in my feedback. Also had a back massage therapist clearly... More

This place is disgusting! It's a massive rip off! £40 a month. Forced to use it as it's the only 'local' gym. No free tea, coffee or towels for the extortionate fee either. I will say, when it was free the water was stagnant and container was dirty in the drinks machine. I've been coming here for around 18 months.... More

The biggest disappointment about this visit was the fact we had no access our use of any of the facilities in the lovely old part , the building that appears in all of the promotional stuff. We had not expected to have our room in the old part based on the rate we paid, but we had expected to be... More

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. When we arrived there were workman in the apartment and when they left it smelled like BO and they left muck all over the floor. Housekeeping came but it wasn't a great first experience. Everything was okay but looked like it needed a deep clean and revamp. Breakfast was very good and the... More

Booked as part of a Grand Prix deal with Thomas Cook. It was our 44th Wedding Anniversary and my husband had arranged for flowers to be placed in our room. On entering the room, it was shabby, mould around the windows, holes in the towels, no glasses in bathroom, TV didn't work, enough dust to write your name in. On... More

The grounds of this hotel are vast, with a lovely lake running through - even though the grounds were gorgeous on the one hand however, they still felt a little neglected in my opinion - lack of florals and needed weeding in areas! Still, nice grounds overall. Evening meal and breakfast were nice with ample sized portions. For me, however... More

We loved our visit to this hotel! We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which was clean and spacious. Walking around the beautiful grounds was fantastic - felt like I was on the set of Downton Abbey. If you want to experience a bit of English countryside for a really reasonable price, this place is a must!

this spa day was a birthday present for me when we arrived we was told there was no coffee machine that worked so unable to get a drink unless we went to the restaurant I suggested maybe a coffee station with dispensers as people were complaining but it did not appear they then said we couldn't go all around the... We attended a wedding at this wonderful setting. The main house is beautiful and you could wish for a better surrounding. The bad side, one particular barman called Bruno was possibly the worst personal I have ever experienced in the service industry. This was someone's special day and instead of making this memorable he was rude and had a angry... More
