Sadly I believe the Berkeswell Museum is no longer Open. The Village still remains a picturesque stop by with its Ancient Church (including Crypt) & tiny tea shop. Lots of local Country walks nearby too.

A local museum with lots of local character introducing local celebs such as Maud Watson (First Ladies Wimbledon Champion)and Jeremy Bret famous for his portral of Sherlock Holmes .Sadley the museum lacks visitors to keep it going.

My husband and I went this afternoon to visit Berkswell Museum having read about it on the internet. It was a very interesting museum, it was quite small, but packed with little treasures from the past. The two voluntary ladies there were full of information, not only about the museum but also about the village and stories from 60 years ago. We had a walk around the village and also the church and all in all we had a very pleasant afternoon. You need to check when they are open as they only open certain days, but well worth a visit.…
