A big crowd, around 100, turned up on Friday 19 October so thought we were in for a treat as so popular. It was a lovely chilly evening and not raining, which was a plus, and we did have fun but just think it could be so much better. Gavin was obviously very knowledgable but we think he should concentrate on adding more history/ background content to his stories. It was a lovely walk around Reigate and we went through areas we hadn’t been to before, which was good. We just thought Gavin came over as being a little bored of taking the tour, which was a shame as we felt he had a lot of interesting details but he just needed to illustrate them better and at least look as if he was enjoying himself! Would we recoommend it as it is, no and it certainly was not worth the £600 he was paid by us all for the evening!

The Reigate Ghost Walk takes place on Friday evenings from October. The cost is a reasonable £6.00 and for that you are escorted around Reigate by Gavin who clowns around rather too much and gives accounts of various paranormal activity that has taken place (or takes place) in Reigate.

On the evening I went there were about 70 people. Rather too many for the walk to run consistently. It was a family occasion with many children present. I enjoyed the evening - it takes 90 minutes - but would have liked more content. It is requested that guests take a torch but I didn't need to use it that often as the paths were well lit.

I went on the Reigate Ghost Walk with three friends at the beginning of October, and it was a fantastic evening. Gavin is absolutely great - theatrical, funny, with lots of interesting stories about the history of Reigate as well as ghost tales. I would highly recommend it to others - great value for money, and really good fun. My favourite bit was when he appeared at the windows of some local restaurants and gave the customers a fright! Do it!!

We wandered up to the ghost walk after seeing an ad on our local "What's On In Reigate" Facebook page expecting a small crowd (or maybe just us) but we were amazed to see around 200 people there! The ghost tour was hosted by a a theatrical guy dressed as a pirate and he led a great walk around the 'haunted' buildings dotted around Reigate Town Centre and shared lots of local history with us. He looked after everybody very well considering it was such a large group and made sure that everyone kept up and could hear him.

This was great fun and suitable for all ages, there were young, old, big, small and even dogs who came along and everyone seemed to love it apart. The host was funny, knowledgeable and entertaining. Of course there were a few moans from those people who wouldn't have been impressed with less than an actual poltergeist appearing but for £6 per person and just under 2 hrs of tour it was fantastic value and we had a great evening!!!

We decided to go on the tour the night before, no need to book you just have to turn up. This was a giggle, not too serious and was enjoyable. It would have been good to hear more information on the stories that were told but it made a change to a normal Friday in. The tour is 90 minutes, an hour was properly enough for us. Definitely worth a visit.

Even a tour for non believers in Ghosts - fantastic history lesson - and a few spooky tales to go with it. Really enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone !
