WOW What a place!! Cane across this venue purely by chance on the internet when we were looking for activities to do on summer camp. With a group of 18 boys aged between 11-17 it is always hard to get an activity that everyone would enjoy, but we certainly did here. From the moment we checked in with Alison this was a very professional activity. None of our boys had done it before and a few were a bit nervous, we also had a couple of boys who need a little extra help at times. Fully kitted up we headed for the lower slopes to practice on our boards with turns and twists etc to get used to them. Eventually the boys moved onto the big hill! What a hill staring half way up the boys zoomed down before catching the tug lift to a little higher up until they were right at the very top. The boys that weren't that confident had the option to stay on the lower slopes and practice, Alison took these boys in turn and was determined not one of them would leave at the end without at least once getting down the hill on their own. She has the patience of a Saint!! The staff that did not mountain board sat and watched in the shelters which offered a great view of the hill and boys and were allowed to wander the hill to take photos etc. Judging by the screams of laughter by the boys and the bustle of excitement in the mini bus after this was an activity that was well worth every penny spent on it and our only regret is that unfortunately the hill will no longer be available after September for a revisit. Thanks to everyone for making our last afternoon at camp 2017 so special and you will be missed.

I brought my 10 year old twin grandsons for a lesson as a birthday treat and they loved it! The tuition was great and they were looking really proficient by the end of the afternoon. I am really sorry that you will be closing soon as I would have loved to have brought them again.

We hosted my sons 9th birthday party with 8 of his friends at RTH. This is a fantastic activity, brilliant staff and so well organised. You just turn up. In fact we enjoyed it so much, we're returning as a family!

We recently celebrated our 11 years old daughter's birthday party here.
Staff were brilliant and accommodating - thank you Harvey! Beautiful scenic venue, we really enjoyed the day. My son thought it was EPIC. He cannot wait to have his Birthday party there.
We will definitely return for another fun day out!

We took my son and 8 of his friends for his 9th birthday party and it was a brilliant day. The instructors were great with them, explaining everything in detail and going over anything individually that any of them didn't feel comfortable with. It wasn't long before they had all mastered turning and were allowed to move up to a bigger hill. The only thing that was a problem for a few of them was, being small and not very heavy, they found the lift a bit tricky. This didn't seem to stop them though, they just walked up the hills! I would totally recommend Ride the Hill.

I took two eleven year old boys on a recommendation.

Finding the place was a bit of a nightmare - but my fault really as I was relying totally on SatNav (never wise). It's just along from Priory Farm but the entrance is slightly tough to spot and as we were running late I was a bit stressy (or so my son says).

So we rock up, late and stressy, 15 minutes late for the session.

Gold star number one - they were totally unfazed. They didn't skimp on any of the safety briefing but managed to coach the two boys one-to-one so that they caught up and join the rest of the group (7 in all).

Gold star number two - brilliant coaching - the boys very quickly learned the basics and were gradually moved further and further up the hill to start. After an hour they were left with some clear instructions on which bits of teh course they should use (it being clear that there were enough courses and complexities to challenge the adept mountain border).

On a sunny Surrey afternoon this was just the perfect way to entertain and tire out two boys. We loved it.

Every single member of the team was friendly and positive and very focussed on making sure the participants had fun whilst being as safe as possible.

It's not cheap - we paid £85 for two boys for an hour's coaching and an hour's free mountain boarding plus drinks & ice creams - but they were generous with time and we thought it was worth it.

We all had a fantastic time at ride the hill, a wonderful setting, the staff were friendly and gave excellent tuition to all the children. Safety was paramount and extra time and focus was given to those people who found it a little more tricky to master. A great venue for a 11 year olds birthday celebrations.
Everyone wants to go back in the summer holidays!

I took a group of young people aged 10-13 from my youth group to Ride the Hill for a day. I came away very impressed with all aspects of the trip.

The Price was reasonable.

The instruction received (and the ratio of instructors to children) was excellent, with the instructors really going the extra mile to ensure all members of the group gained skill levels over the course of our visit.

The mountain boards and other safety equipment (Helmets, pads etc) seemed to my (untrained!) eye to be in excellent condition; time was spent ensuring helmets fitted properly. One board was swapped over for another one during the session, but it was good to see the centre had enough spares of everything to do this.

The mountain boarding facilities were excellent. There is a nursery slope, followed by three hills of increasing difficulty and speed (our beginners group only got as far as hill 2!), an area full of small ramps and jumps, a foam pit for more advanced trips and best of all a lift to save walking up the hill again each time following your runs.

I would thoroughly recommend Ride The Hill to any similar youth group, scout groups etc for a fantastic day out in Surrey. We travelled down from Hertfordshire for the day and I was worried it wouldn't be worth it, but it definitely was!

Set in the beautiful surroundings of Nutfield, my son and I arrived for one of his mates birthday parties (I was lucky enough to take one one of the spare places). We were welcomed by the very friendly staff and were kitted out in the all the safety equipment which included a helmet and wrists supports. Our instructors were very good in teaching us how to mountain board correctly and ensured that everyone was competent to progress to the next level and further up the hill. If you manage to master the basics then this is so much fun and a fantastic experience. It can be tiring but I would highly recommend it. Definitely going again.
