The food was average and we had to wait over 35 minutes after ordering our food.

Staff were not attentive.

I expected a better level of service and I’m disappointed with the customer service and attitude of the “deputy” manager.

We ordered a starter, a roast, a main and a side of vegetables ONLY if the roast. We were charged for a full roast even though we ordered the sides of vegetables only.

Without getting into too much detail the deputy manager was quite rude and I’m shocked she even has a job as there are many people far competent and not in work due to the pandemic.

It is the waiter’s job to note down the correct order.

It is also not acceptable to argue with a customer, but I don’t believe this deputy manager was very with it in general. She just wouldn’t understand what I was saying and was getting very confused.

I will not be returning and I wouldn’t recommend wasting your money here.

Very expensive for tiny and tasteless portions. Small burger with few fries and a spoon of linguine with exactly 8 tiny mussels with no sauce for £27. Better stay at home and cook tasteful food. Never again. Rip off.

NEGLET springs to view. I pre booked asking for our guest star my 80th mother’s birthday. I did all the work chasing staff. I ordered the food paid for it an then after pre booked still waited 1.45 minutes it came burnt burgers cold roast. The beef was great everything else was awful. The gravy was laddled from dishwater! Glasses overfilling the table we only had 3 each. I was asked to clear them myself to a side table. I did this so that we could eat dessert. Hands down the worst ever Sunday lunch I’ve ever had. Some reviews are good maybe our face didn’t fit. Please really think about coming here. I struggled to believe how busy they are maybe it’s me……

Slow service and food so undercooked that it had to go back to the kitchen for a second attempt. Assume that we caught them on an off day.

The front of house staff were lovely, but clearly embarrassed that it took an hour to cook 3 meals and the they had to go back to be cooked in a way than made them edible.

Interesting pub with two levels, small rooms and large. Take your pick, especially on a slow Thursday lunch-time like today.
My son and I sat near the bar on the upper level.
beer was excellent, and would recommend St.Austell's "Proper Job"!
Shame our food order was quite a long time arriving, maybe because there weren't many customers.
There's no excuse for lukewarm food on a lukewarm plate, which we both agreed on.
But having had a great morning's walk in the Isabella Plantation in nearby Richmond Park, we demolished our Eggs Royale.
Will go again, but stick to the beer.

I love this pub. The staff are so friendly and and the food is so delicious. I had tried beef, pork, fish and burgers and all were so good. I love the atmosphere and the homely feel and the very polite and friendly staff. I would recommend this to anyone.

Slightly disappointing as chose the Soecial salmon salad and I’m still hungry on the way home. Meagre portion even for a healthy eater! Also they ran out of wine glasses. And hardly anyone there. Lovely staff though. Can’t blame them but I feel someone needs to know when standards slip. My friend had the trout and it looked much more substantial so maybe stick to hot food

A very disappointing visit. My friend and I were having a Christmas reunion in a place we had previously enjoyed meeting. It was -1 outside and we were looking forward to a cosy evening in a warm pub. We paid £25.10 for 2 Gin and tonics, and settled ourselves by a radiator. We soon realised the Rad was off. We asked twice for the heating to be put on and were then offered blankets. Yes, blankets INSIDE the pub in order to keep warm. Unbelievable. No explanation given. The man eating at the table next to us even had his coat on.
We went to find the manager as we were leaving. (Too cold to stay longer than 40 minutes) She was nice and warm behind the bar - but was quite frosty in her response to us. We left a review on their FaceBook page - but they took it down. Hence this review here.

We had our wedding celebration at the Albert last week end and everything was perfect! The food was delicious, the wine and bubbly were excellent, the service was seamless and our 60 guests had an unforgettable time. Thank you to Dorian and his team at The Albert for everything they did to make our day unforgettable. We have the most beautiful memories of the day. Thank you!

Stumbled across this place by accident. What a gem. The staff could not have been friendlier. Food was outstanding. Good, wholesome, simple, straightforward, well presented and delicious food. Lovely sour dough bread to start, Cumberland sausage and mash and then an Eton Mess (at least one thing useful came out of Eton) for afters. Really excellent - would thoroughly recommend. I’ll be back if I’m ever in this area again. Thanks
