Nice pub
Jun 2019 • Couples
I was invited to this place by a few friends for a drink.
Found it to be a great place to catch up with old friends, more like a club house than a pub. Great atmosphere, good food, reasonable prices, great staff.
Easy parking, worth the visit.

I visit aleast twice a month and always sit on table 37. It is a very friendly place for lunch and you are always made to feel welcome. The fish and chips are excellent and Kate who brings the food to the table is always smiling and cheerful, a credit to Woodies.

Woodies Beer Festival
Aug 2019 • Friends
Woodies freehouse holds an annual beer festival, its normally the weekend before august bank holiday. This year its on weekend of 16th aug 2019. First night on 16th was a great eve with Ray Lowe and his swing music. All weekend they have different bands and activities planned. Plenty to eat and drink. Thanks to sean and his team of workers.

Lunch
Jun 2019 • Friends
Had a toasted sandwich, which was OK..
The plate would have looked much better with some garnish, along with the few chips that we were served.

Nice pub but children can be a nuisance
Aug 2018
The pub is decent apart from the noise made by annoying and unruly children. On selected days you can enjoy live music. Food is reasonably priced. I attended during a beer festival and I had a chance to taste a variety of beer. I don’t think children should be allowed in this pub because they only run around and annoy guests.

Great venue for family party
Jul 2018 • Friends
Staff so helpful. Very good venue with reasonably priced buffet and drinks. Good conservatory and outside area set aside for us. Tables etc well-arranged and set up for sitting, eating, DJ and dance floor. Also accommodated our photo booth. Also kept our cars safe in their car park overnight. Would use again. Love this place with its fantastic collection of memorabilia and wooden beams.

Friendly and full of interesting memorabilia.

Have been before for a pub quiz night which we enjoyed very much. This time my daughters and I were visiting to discuss using it as a party venue. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and my youngest daughter and I also enjoyed lunch there. There is a great selection of craft beers on offer and drinks are priced very reasonably. You cannot get bored here because there is so much on the walls and ceilings to look at. There is also a lovely big new conservatory area set out for dining which can also be used for parties, and they have a grassed beer garden with plenty of pub benches overlooking the sports-ground. Only thing I would say is that they could perhaps upgrade their toilet facilities.
