The Rose is a gem for theatre lovers in the Kingston and surrounding areas. It's fair to say that across the year there is something for everyone, whatever your tastes. Touring theatre companies such as Propeller and Northern Broadsides add to the top quality works produced by the theatre itself. In these tough times, where money is always tight, it's... More

Even though this is my local theatre I had never visited it before so when I was given tickets to see a play there I jumped at the chance. It's a 15 minute walk from the railway and bus stations but worth the walk It is situated by the River Thames near the old market place and opposite the Police... More

We went to watch a Christmas Carol with our 9 year old and 8 year old. The Rose is a wonderful venue which also hosts community events such as school concerts. This is the first time we have been for a production. We were very pleasantly surprised. Such a wonderful show. Our seats were not the best - the play... More

The Rose Theatre which has been open in Kingston for about a decade and was the brainchild of the great director Sir Peter Hall goes from strength to strength. It has a welcoming atmosphere its foyers Gil of comfy sofas and even the odd rocking chair, its ground floor a bar cafe and self contained sweetshop. This partially reflects the... More

Family visit. We are always surprised by the incredible staging at the Rose. The backdrops were animated and helped transport Scrooge to another place and time. The theatre is well run comfortable and easy to get to and from seats. The "pit" is bring a cushion and the stalls have an excellent view. The stage is a semi-circle which the... More

I've been to The Rose several times since it opened and seen some excellent productions. Having been twice in the last week, I feel inspired to let you all know what a fantastic venue it is! Every production we have seen has been first class. I had an outstanding evening with friends at Rick Astley and the Luddites last week... More

Had the pleasure of going along to the Rose for The Luddites gig, raising money for Prostate Cancer UK! The warm up act was Tally Spear, a local girl with a real throw back Bob Dillon voice, backed up by Rosie. Very warm singer and would love to see her playing again! The Luddites were great! Rick, Simon and Graham... More

The production was excellent. The compete experience was great and the great costumes and stage as outstanding. I took my daughter who loved it as well. An early Christmas treat for the both of us. I tried to book again but unfortunately they are sold out as I expected.
