My daughter came back from a school trip and she was so excited total me all the things she'd done here. She built dens, got muddy, met the gruffalo, played in trees and on lots of equipment. Sounded a great place to go at a low cost

This was our first visit, it was great, there is the stick man trail, with statues of the gruffallo, gruffallos child and stick man, you can buy a stick man activity pack for £3 which had lots to do including things to look for, and material to make your own stick man, there are dens including a wheelchair size one... We took our dogs here on a sunny Saturday afternoon. It wasn't the greatest time, because there were children and picnics everywhere. We tried to go deeper into the forest along the Lodge Pond route, but had to turn back before we'd gone far as it was not accessible for one of us who uses a wheelchair. It hadn't been... More

We had such a good time here. My little one is 2 and needs a lot of exercise. There are a number of trails to choose from. He liked the Stick Man one but unfortunately it's being taken down on Monday. I hope they still keep the Gruffalo though. They also have a superb wooden tower for kids to play... More

The cafe is not brilliant but is being replaced. The forest is fab and the children's trails are superb. The playground is lovely and the resource centre is ok for kiddie parties. The sting in the tail is the parking fee. £4.50 is a lot if you are a local who needs to go there regularly. Nice for dog walking... More

Hours of fun had with children on the stick man trail. We built shelters, stick towers and lots more. Great family fun! This is just one of the many things we could do. We will definitely be returning. Car parking is barrier operated and pay on departure, on our visit it was £8 all day. Cafe on site but loads... More

We Look after our grandson while daughter does the 5 km run. The play area is great for toddlers and the cafe produces good food without being privet.

We had a great afternoon racing around the forest and all it cost was a bit of parking. Although there are plenty of other pay activities to do we just needed a good run around. There was heaps for the kids to do and see and we easily filled in the afternoon. We have previously been to the go ape... More
