Highly recommend
Sep 2021
Went here despite a fear of birds and found myself loving it. My boyfriend and I spent a few hours looking at all the animals and had a lot of fun. We could have stayed for longer too but it was getting quite late. There was so much to look at, including the farm, which is brilliant, especially the goat enclosure that you can walk around. I really want to go back and buy some bird food next time and maybe spend longer there because it was great and I want to catch some of the talks next time too. Really good lunch bought there too although some of it was REALLY reasonably priced and some of it wasn't. My boyfriend got a whole meal for about £5.50 and my very average BLT sandwich was nearly £5, so it was a bit odd, but still very tasty (I had some of my boyfriend's chips and they were delicious!). Overall a really good day and can't wait to visit again. The birds all seem really happy and very well looked after, and I liekd the fact that every cage was full, so I was never looking at nothing.

Good day out
Sep 2021
We went here for a day out as we were staying on the area for the week. We were very pleased and had a good day out. It was much bigger than we expected. We bought some food which you purchase when you buy tickets to feed the birds with which was a great thing to do. Fully recommend for a great day out.

Great day out
Sep 2021 • Family
A loverly relaxing day out. Birdworld is beautifully set up with great enclosures for the birds which are very well cared for. Went with my teenage children, spent nearly the whole day there, they loved feeding many of the birds with the meal worms you can buy, some feeding from your hand!
This was our 3rd trip and will definitely go again

Great day out
Sep 2021
We have been to Birdworld many times the last being some years ago - it has since been improved with more birds/animals and features now added. It is nice and clean and the birds/animals are well looked after. There are plenty of different things to do whatever your age.

We visited the cafe which we felt was not overly priced but if you prefer to bring a picnic there are plenty of places to sit down and eat.

The staff are friendly and helpful, we purchased an animal adoption for our grand-daughter - the office staff couldn't do enough to help us with it.

This is a great day out - don't hesitate to visit, you won't be disappointed.

We will definitely be returning :)

Relaxing and worth every penny
Aug 2021 • Family
One of the best 'zoos'. Starts with a decent cafe, and then relax as you wander round viewing some astonishing birds in good sized enclosures.

Great range of birds from all four corners of the world. The info boards are easy for kids to understand.

Good petting Farm included.

Well done to the owners.

What a fantastic place for a family day out
Aug 2021 • Family
What a fantastic place for a family visit. We were looked after by a wonderful keeper called Polly, she took the time to explain about to us and other guests, all about the birds and their way of life, the way the pairs of birds bonded by sharing food and other fascinating things about their lives. Thank you Polly you really made this a memorable visit for our family and many other guests as well with your impromptu talks as you fed the birds.
The on site cafe was very good, if a little disorganised on the day, good food and sensibly priced. The loos were clean and plentiful around the site. The site is all accessible for wheelchair and pushchairs and not too big for the little ones to walk around. There are plenty of places to picnic and a children's play area and farm animals.

Nice day but expensive
Aug 2021
Had a pleasant day at the park and saw some interesting birds. The park is very small though and so we felt it was an expensive day out. My son was disappointed that "Underwater World" has closed.

Dissapointing end to an otherwise great day.
Aug 2021 • Family
Visited with 6 other adults and 3 children. Arrived at 12.15pm. Walked around the park, saw some displays ( birds & penguins ), before walking back to the cafe to feed the family & prepare to depart.
We got to the cafe at 3.45pm ( Park closes at 6pm).
The cafe stopped serving hot food at 3pm - there was no indication this was the case when we booked nor on the website. This meant the kids had no food ( the cafe had 10 or so sandwiches available at £4.50+ per sandwich, totally unsuitable for youngsters wanting chips and a burger etc).
Also at that point we noticed many people entering the park without paying...
Overall, disappointed... a great day was ended on such a low point.
