    Fantastic day out
Fantastic day out. Excellent value for money. We purchased anytime tickets for the family. Our children are 7 and 10 years old. We arrived just after it opened and were one of the last to leave. We all had such a great day. Eating areas were spotless, staff were extremely helpful and accommodating, especially when my daughter spilt her drink down her front! 🤦 Wished we spent two days here instead of going to Chessington the following day!
Thanks for such a great review.

Amazing day out, great value for a full day with lots of activities included.
Genuinely surprised at the comments that it isn’t value for money just having completed our first visit. Firstly, it is really clean considering the size and nature of the venue. There’s always staff cleaning in the cafè area and, despite being rushed off their feet staff were really attentive and friendly. My son (6,5) has ASD and struggles with crowded, indoor play spaces and he loved it and wants to go back ASAP. The outdoor play spaces are amazing, there’s a massive waterbed thing adults and children can all run or sit on and giant bouncy ball things which are so fun. The indoor soft play/ wooden play is really well thought out and the kids could spend ages in there without getting bored. The zorbing was hilarious and is included in the ticket price. Animals are lovely, especially the meerkats who are funny. We arrived at 11.30 and left at 5pm and still didn’t manage to get round to doing everything! My only regret is not having visited years ago.
Thank you for such a lovely review.

    A fabulous day out!
What a fantastic day! The grandkids are all asking to go back again! Great value as we stayed all day as there is so much to do. All very clean, good food and lovely enclosures for the animals. Staff were great and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
    Thanks for the recommendation.

A great day out for the family
Had a great day Hobbledown despite some less than good weather. Loved the imaginarium as did my 7 year old son. Lots of animals to see and you can get up close to most of them too! Completed the Easter egg hunt and even won the golden egg and a prize which made a great day even better!
    Thanks for the 5 stars.

    Super place, bit pricey
Brilliant place, but yes a bit pricey. Went with an 8 yr & 13 yr old. Entrance price includes all the open play areas and soft play as others have mentioned, and the animals (quite a few were closed when we went unfortunately ) but not any stuff that would have appealed to a 13 yr old. The high nets, big slide etc all cost more - about £10 each which is a shame. Hence the slide was empty! We did one go on the big nets and they loved it. The indoor play area was very good, and easily entertained them for ages. The crazy golf out the front is separate and also very good! Book online for cheaper prices. Good day out all in all.
Thanks for visiting Hobbledown Heath, we're glad you had a good day. The slides and nets belong to Gripped next door, which is why it's an additional cost. Your 13 year old might like a day there instead as there's lots of adventure for teenagers! www.begripped.com Thanks for visiting.

Kids loved it, plenty to see and do to fill the day. We will definitely be back soon. A fab day out!
First time at Hobbledown with the kids, we all had a good day. The kids loved it, there was so much for them to do. Entry is quite expensive but the kids are kept busy with the various areas with things to see and do. The cafe was huge, lots of tables of various sizes. Only downside is that the large soft play area is also in the cafe so this isn’t great if you want to sit at the tables and have food and drinks and chat inside. It’s VERY noisy! The pizza cafe was closed when we went to get pizza which I think would have been a bit more of a calmer environment so we had no choice but to opt for the noisy cafe. The food was decent and prices were not too bad. £5.75 for a kids chicken nuggets and chips which came with couple of pieces of cucumber and tomora. Portion size was reasonable for young kids. Staff were pleasant and bring food to the table, all tables are numbered. This is handy, especially with little ones in tow. Kids had so much fun. They loved it. We will definitely go back.

    The best thing in Hounslow
Excellent couple of hours for anyone with young kids. It can be expensive but if you join the annual membership ( which I highly recommend) it works out to be very cheap, only if you use the facility on a regular basis. The indoor playing area is much bigger than I thought it would be. The outdoor play area which is only good for the summer is excellent. The birds and the animals are a experience in themselves. The food is very basic and could be improved. The staff I found to be very polite and helpful

Great outdoor play for kids from 1-12 years
Over the past 3 years Hobbledown have greatly improved their outdoor play offering, with the introduction of additional jumping pillows, and a water cushion. As well extending their outdoor play village. The last time we went they had taken the sand away from the area outside the indoor play barn, which whilst be welcome for parents (sand gets everywhere) did upset the kids). This may have been to stop kids putting sand in the water area next to the Imaginarium, as when we visited at Easter half of the water features weren't working as they were blocked with wet sand. My only gripe is still there are no toilets near the high ropes/zip line play area, you have to walk all the way back to the play barn. Please build a toilet block at the other end of Hobbledown 🙏

    A great family day out
We visited on a cold and rainy day, but there was still plenty to do. The children (10,8 and 5) tried archery, played on the outdoor equipment, and enjoyed the animals. The indoor soft play is glorious. A lovely Father Christmas, helped by a team of charming elves who did a nice little show and helped the children make soft toys. My only gripe is the state of the tables in the play centre / cafe. They were sticky and most unpleasant. A good scrub of the tables and I would give it all 5 stars.
Thank you for your comments which we do take on board to help us be better. We will pass your comments onto the cafe team. We are please that you had a good visit apart from the cafe area.

This was our first time at Hobbledown and we will definitely be returning again, especially when the weather is a bit better. After 3 storms over 4 weekends parts of the farm/zoo area were flooded and therefore cordened off for safety reasons, which is completely understandable. We were fully prepared for the wet weather with wellies, waterproofs and warm clothing, so were happy to explore the areas that were open.
We attended the teacher presentation as this is why we visited in the first place and it was nice to hear what Hobbledown has to offer schools, linking visits to the curriculum and different experiences being available.
After the presentation we wandered around the animals for a bit and then decided to head inside for lunch, plus our 5 year old was desperate to see the indoor play area! As with most places, it was busy with few tables available, there were also a few birthday parties booked in with long tables reserved. We wandered around and found a spot to stand and make a base, so Pheebs could go and explore the soft play. However after 15 minutes a table became available and we then ordered our food. The food was nice, came promptly and was tasty. We shared our table with another family as there was only 4 of us and the table was big enough for 8 people. We normally take a picnic on family outings and noticed that families bringing their own food are asked to eat in the picnic areas, one of which was undercover with person controlled heaters.
After lunch we explored outside a bit more, Pheebs was excited to see an owl, the otters being fed and to feed the goats. All in all we had a great day and ended it by buying the Hobbledown book, which our daughter is currently enjoying.

We had an okay day out, but if you are looking for a predominantly farm day out other nearby venues would suit you better. My little one wasn’t quite big enough to get the most out of the playground, and we were disappointed that the birds were not around on our visit.
The lemurs were lovely, as was the walkthrough with the goats, but for £16 per person for 3 hours we won’t be visiting again for a bit.

You now get 4 hours play with your admission ticket, although if we are not fully booked on the day of your visit you will not be asked to leave. Did you visit on a Wednesday, as this is the birds scheduled rest day? They can be seen every other day of the week. We do have traditional farm animals, but we are actually categorised as a zoo so we have more exotic animals such as camels, meerkats etc, as well as all of the farmyard favourites. Thanks for your visit.

We LOVE Hobbledown and have a six month membership so visit regularly but to be fair given the choice my grandson would visit everyday if he could. Its such a great place to visit which so much space to run and so many animals and activities. Each year there is something new so the farm is constantly evolving. I used to take my daughter there 25 years ago when it was Horton Farm so the place has very special memories for me so to continue the tradition and go with my grandson makes it even more of a treat. Once you have finished exploring the outside there is a fantastic play barn. Highly recommend a visit my only advice would be to take a picnic as the café is rather pricey.

Hobbledown is fun but they clearly don’t understand how a restaurant works. My family and I found a table in the restaurant and ordered our food, but before the food came a Hobbledown staff member came to the table and asked us to leave the restaurant to make space for users of the play barn. There was no information in the restaurant or on the hobbledown website/app that stated the restaurant was for play barn users only. We were asked to leave after we had paid for our food but had not yet received it! We got the hot food in a bag and had to eat it on a bench outside. The customer service in the restaurant was truly awful. Also 4 hours is not long enough to enjoy all there is to offer and so £20 for a 4 hour slot seems a bit steep.

Our restaurant is inside our play barn, and we are currently operating time slots for the play barn to avoid overcrowding. There is a heated canopy directly outside the restaurant for any guests to use, as well as many picnic tables around site. We apologise if this was not clear enough and you were asked to move. We hope it will not put you off visiting again.

It really is totally extraordinary. Hobbledown has a very magical feel to it with everywhere in keeping with the 'Hobblers' quirky style. It was raining heavily for much of our day but the kids didn't complain once cause they were too busy having fun. Wellies are a must especially if they want to explore the tunnels underground. The play areas are really awesome there is a lot of outdoor role play areas like a pub and ice cream shop sort of mud kitchen style where they can fill tankards and cones with sand and everything has been thought of. My eldest loves playing drs so was very pleased with the two role play areas for this she found, complete with equipment and fun wall charts. The jumping puddle is really fab and I saw lots of grown ups who couldn't resist the curiosity of trying it which is sweet to see. You can book a soft play slot and also a show in the thinkery which is an inside theatre. The range of play areas and equipment is really great, and our kids enjoyed mining for crystallite. It would make it a bit easier to have more bigger pieces to find, but I guess that's almost impossible with the amount of kids about to keep it topped up in any way! The raptor centre was great and the animal walk throughs the lemur one is understandably closed at the moment so the lemurs can slowly get used to humans again. Because of the heavy and persistent rain we received and email saying we can return for half price which was a very appreciated gesture. We can't wait to come back!
My only suggestions are additions like it would be super magical to have a YouTube video with the hobblers and fairies inviting children to come and explaining about the magic and crystallite, like a little video you'd show them the night before you came. My two loved all the other Hobbledown videos you have :).
Also maybe some kind of magic postbox where children could send ideas to the hobblers and fairies.

A great experience for kids. Lots of fun jumping on air and water beds. Castles to climb. Indoor play area. Lots of animals to see. High ropes was a great endurance challenge. Must be booked when in park (Cost £2 per child) area for picnics. Other rides available including rolling inside a plastic tyre capsule. Great fun. Good value . 4 hour duration costs £60 for family of 4.

Pretty disappointed.
I visited with my 3 and 7 year olds, attracted by the chance to see farm animals, play on the play equipment and see the advertised Christmas lights.
It can’t really be described as a farm as there really aren’t many farm animals, those few farm animals they have aren’t very accessible and were searching for high ground in the waterlogged fields. There were two pigs wading around their enclosure!
Much of the outdoor play area was a mud bath, with water filled ditches, huge puddles and closed tunnels due to flooding. As it has hardly rained recently, I dread to think what it’s like after wet weather.
The Christmas lights were a bit of a damp squib. I was told that Hobbledown originally charged extra to see them, but can understand why they stopped, the only bit worth seeing for 2 minutes was a path with a pattern of lights across it.
We stayed away from the indoor play area as it looked like a Covid breeding ground (whether or not it complied with Government guidelines).
The kids ended up cold, wet and covered in mud (after tripping over in the gloom).
If it hadn’t been a mud bath and there had been more farm animals, it would probably have been worth £10/ ticket. At £18 each (£72 for the family) it was a bit of a rip off.

This is very disappointing to read. We have a large selection of farm and zoo animals on show across our 50 acre site, from the more exotic breeds like camels, meerkats and reindeer to traditional farm animals like sheep, goats, pigs, ponies etc. There was a lot of overnight heavy rain during the Christmas / New Year period in the Epsom area which is why the paths and fields have been a lot muddier than normal. It was the first year of our Christmas lights trail and we thank you for your feedback. We will be looking to improve and enhance the experience if we repeat it in 2022. Thank you for visiting and we hope your experience will not put you off visiting again in drier times.

Visited on a weekday during our half term, but was not half term locally. This proved a mistake as the site was only really set up for little children. The activities for younger kids were very good but my complaint is that the website was quite ambiguous about what was on offer, and kept diverting us to the app which did not work. Staff at the farm were pleasant but when I questioned the app not working and the lack of activities on offer they were unhelpful at best. A statement about switching zorbing for archery In bad weather during peak times was claimed to be the explanation for lack of zorbing on offer. This is a clearly ambiguous statement, but the response was to take it up with the marketing department!!! A simple apology and advice about what WAS available in the absence of the app would have resolved this swiftly. Unfortunately the young man on the door was out of his depth in terms of customer service.
Unfortunately no one turned up to the advertised bird show. The staff member was 10 minute late for the animal show we nearly missed it. It was 3 insects which was rather minimal but my children enjoyed it nevertheless.
The food was quite poor unfortunately which is a real missed opportunity as there is no need to sell over priced processed food in a setting like this which should offer fresh ingredients. The salsa and avocado was out of a jar/packet for example. A few options were available either.

On the positive side, the play areas were very very good and the sensory indoor area was excellent.

My advice would be unless your child is under 4/5 avoid outside of peak times when activities apparently should be on offer, and probably worth calling in advance to check as even the non peak options were absent/late and as noted above the website ambiguous.

This day out cost £80 even before food and for the activities we received (especially as 3 of js were adults) this is completely over priced. Half that would be about right for the entertainment so unfortunately cannot recommend. Often customers frustrations can be resolved with good communication and customer service but this was lacking.

In summary, this is an expensive place for your kids to play on everything they would at your local park. Yes, there are some lovely animals, but the majority of the visit was spent climbing frames and playing in a sandpit, all of which we can do at our local park for free. The entry fee’s set me back £80 (adult, 8, 3 and 2 year olds) I was then slightly miffed to discover a charge albeit only £2 for the high climbing… £20 surely covered this activity! Sadly, we didn’t book a slot so missed out anyway. We did however really enjoy the large sandpit abs castle by the entrance, and enjoyed a little time in the water area. Sadly we spent a lot of time queuing due to the overly strict covid rules in place at the park, despite being outdoors. Our local farm park in Wisborough Green offers much better value for money and let’s people play outdoors without the need to queue, except for on the rides (which are included in the entrance fee!)

Hobbledown prides itself on providing play equipment that you would not typically find anywhere else. From a huge play castle to our network of underground tunnels that run under one of the play villages, we feel our facilities are very unique. We very much thank you for coming to visit and we hope the kids had a good time.

Why charge adults £22 to sit on a bench to supervise their children? Because it's a money spinner.
Even when you get inside (after you've paid £22 per adult per child) they still want more money for activities.
Maybe the price is to see the animals. Unfortunately, nearly all of the animals were in their huts so they were not even value for money!
It's brilliant place for children but should be really advertised for under 11 year olds where parents go free.
