The course is in very bad condition for the price. The fairway grass is far too long, the tees poor and litter everywhere. The greens have nt been attended to.

So avoid if you fancy a game of golf.

The buggies are £15 each which is the only good thing I can say

It's always disappointing to visit a golf course to find that with a little TLC the experience could be so much better.
I thought as the course is linked to the hotel it would reflect the De Vere standards but sadly not.
The first issue you face is the parking which is limited, then you have the pleasure of visiting the pro shop. This is sadly run down in all aspects. The bathroom is really not nice, broken tiles, rusty taps, and generally not clean. I had to book a set of clubs, you are offered two options either Callaway (£25)or Titleist (£35). I went for the Callaway which were very battered and bruised plus they had not even been cleaned which tells you a lot about how much they care for their customers.
The course could be so much better with once again some care and attention and when you consider this is in London finding a space like this should be a real gem. But it's a rather dull diamond that with a bit of a polish could really be a great day out.
The staff were friendly.

Went there six years ago and it was in much better condition. The room this time had not been cleaned properly, windows would not close, paint peeling off, carpet in a very poor state. Bathroom needs refurbishing. Food at breakfast was dire, with grumpy staff. all in all a bad experience. Not worth the cost by a long way.

Me and my son played 14 holes and had enough! The greens were in terrible condition with tons of sand and pitch holes and awful spike holes. Not one putt was enjoyable.
The tee-boxes were a mud bath and had not been rotated today.
The setting is lovely but the course is in a sad state now.
They need to sort this out asap or people will stop paying a high green fee to play such a low standard course which was once great.
Sad.

This pokey dark little old age home type room for £133. Not even a comfy chair on the whole 200 acre site to sit outside. A park bench is all you get for outdoor seating. AND they say this is 4 stars. My heart is broken.

selsdon park golf course is a great course a par 72 with some great holes ,it's a long course with lots of hills and elevated greens which make the holes play longer . it's great value too compared to other courses near by . the only downside is that there is no real clubhouse you can get a drink in the hotel but a dedicated club house would be the icing on cake

I had a great time at Selsdon GC. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, especially Caroline the Golf Manager. Would definitely go back!

This course is part of Selsdon Estates. There is no club house but the hotel has underground changing rooms. The pro shop is basically a large wooden shed.
The course is very very steep at points and although greens are fast the fairway grass was long. The steepness is positively dangerous in places in my opinion and few people show signs of playing here. Would be fearful in the wet and winter.
An old fashioned course, picturesque in many places but not all that nice to play for me. Had two rounds booked but consIdered whether to go home after one.

“HUGO” the assistant manager is probably the most awkward, irritating, and argumentative person ever known in the hotel industry that I have ever come across.... how can guys on a golf day be classed as rude and arrogant when all your doing is having a beer and a laugh.... This guy should never be in this industry and work for the third reich in the SS

Well one word sums up our spa day - disappointing! The changing rooms were dated, dirty and worse than my local swimming pool. This was not the spa day experience I was anticipating. The relaxation room was in front of the reception and was therefore noisy and not relaxing. It felt like an attempt to create a relaxing area to go to after your treatment but didn't manage to deliver either the comfort or atmosphere. The beauty therapist my sister and I had was lovely and was the only positive thing I can say - thank you Georgia!

The swimming looked ok but generally the pool area was uncomfortably warm.

Our treatments were in the morning so we decided to have lunch and then go home as it really didn't feel like a relaxing spa environment with kids in the pool.

We won't be back. It's a shame but the hotel chain has clearly not invested in the fabric of the building and it's looking tired and grubby.
