About
The Borehole is a brewery tap for the Lymestone Brewery and is based on the same site. It has never been a pub before so this is an exciting refurbishment. The pub will serve a range of Lymestone cask ales and bottled beers as well as other drinks from local and distant suppliers. A log burning stove provides a central focal point

Whats going on ?
May 2021
Really like this pub and in the past have given it 4/5 stars but now.?
Went last week and had to wait an age for a drink but just thought give them time to get their act togeather
Went back today and waited 15 minutes for someone to take our order ,was then told there were 5 tables in front of us waiting for drinks ,given there was only one waiter we just give up and left as did the table next to us who hit the nail on the head when they said people are using covid as an excuse.
Not sure whats going on but if you cant get the staff or dont want to pay them then dont be greedy and dont open.
I will think twice before going back and it is a shame as this is a nice little pub which is doing itself no favours

Lovely, cosy, friendly little place with fantastic locally brewed ales.

Gem of a Pub
Dec 2019 • Couples
Dropped in early afternoon after a birthday celebration elsewhere. It's the Lymestone Brewery tap and they seem to be doing something right as the place was full. It's dog friendly, the beer and cider is very well kept and you get a tunnocks caramel wafer or teacake if you have coffee or tea; they also do cakes! The gents toilets have novelty urinals and worth a visit in their own right.

Great place

What a great little pub this is, great drinks, friendly staff, it’s really quirky and you feel like your at home, great beers and snacks on offer at a good price too. Great little beer garden at the back and few benches out the front too. Very dog friendly too, lots of people in their with dogs and child friendly too, they were more than happy with our toddlers running round, no complaints at all. Would recommend a visit, we will be back.

My favourite place
Aug 2019 • Friends
I’d struggle to describe this place properly as it’s not your standard pub but it is the friendliest place around.
They have a great selection of drinks and bar snacks and it doesn’t make your eyes bleed when you get a round.
My favourite night is a Wednesday when the Juke Box band are playing. It’s good fun and easy music. It’s a long way from posh, but it’s clean, friendly and my first choice for somewhere to go.

Best pub in stone.
Jul 2019 • Friends
Hands down the best pub in stone. Selection of cans is brilliant and both the lagers and cask beers are great. Staff and owners are awesome. Last years World Cup was made even better by this place, putting screens up in the brewery, brilliant idea and perfectly executed!!

Thanks for your kind words about the Borehole As a dog owner I know how important they are in a family, and how nice it is to call in for a pint while out for a walk! Four legged friendly dogs are always welcome! Viv
