Very tasty beer
Sep 2019
The beer was really tasty, the building is something else.

Service was on the terse side of gruff, otherwise this would be a five-star review.

Excellent evening a real gem in Burton! It was a big surprise that the venue looked great. The beer was good as well. I look forward to going back in the near future.

nice vibe

only open 1 evening a week i believe the rest if the time it is a working brewery, we happened to be passing the night it was open, at first i wasn't sure as it didnt look obvious but once you open the door you are wowed by the interior, quirky furniture, someone playing piano and space heaters whirring to keep you warm.

they brew and sell their own beer in a fab room off to the side room with some seating but has an open fire, such a cosy, warm and welcoming place to visit serving great beer and pickled eggs

Burton's Best Kept Secret
Dec 2018
Tower Brewery is a real hidden gem and probably Burton's best kept secret.
The Brewery is in an old Victorian Water Tower, with was part of Salt's Brewery back in the day.
The place has great character and great atmosphere.
Open to the Public on Friday's - 4pm till Midnight.
Great atmosphere and sink a pint or two of Gone for a Burton and relax and enjoy the evening.
If you like the beer then speak to John and order a barrel. Very good price for cask ale and works a treat getting a couple of barells in for the cellar at home to cover Christmas and New Year. If you can give it a go. John is your man to ask.

Wedding anniversary
Dec 2018 • Family
I would recommend to anyone this venue, a fantastic venue if you are planning a celebration of any kind, held my ruby wedding anniversary party there and everyone commented what a great place it was , the owner John and Karen are brilliant and will go out of their way to help you, they do some great beers which are very reasonably priced, so if anyone is looking for a great venue look no further.

Wedding reception & ran out of beer & spirits.
Nov 2018 • Family
Hmm an odd choice for a wedding party but it suits the couple so who am I to judge.
However when the bar has no lager from the start & then runs out of wine & spirits by 11.15 then I am going to judge.
What kind of hospitality business can afford to turn customers away.
A little more planning & organisation for these events is required.

A Towering Place
Jan 2018 • Friends
Once full of breweries, Burton fell on hard times, but is now regenerating with good quality micro-brewers. One of them, the Tower Brewery is only open as a tap on a Friday night. Rather like the Tardis, you enter through a small aperture/door and find yourself in a grand old brewing hall.
Great for receptions of kinds, you can bring your fish ‘n’ chips or pizza and nibble them whilst watching whatever live music is on offer. Try the Halcyon Haze and get a taxi back.

Fantastic venue
Jul 2017 • Friends
The Tower Brewery in Burton-on-Trent is a fantastic venue. Externally, it is a mid Victorian red brick industrial building with no hint of what lies within. Inside however, it is a bustling, lively music venue within a working brewery. We were welcomed by congenial hosts John and Karen Mills. There was a well staffed bar serving a variety of their excellent craft beers. Overall we had a great evening.

Tastey Brew in a unique setting
Feb 2017 • Friends
The friendliest venue in the universe... the tastiest beer in the universe... Friday nights are open to public and there are also loads of other events cracking off all the time.
