It's been a while since I've visited Alton Towers, probably around 7 years when I was still both child and care free. I do remember that the place held a certain magical charm that kept me coming back for more and I don't remember having a bad day there over the years, until now. Flash forward, and I went today... Great day out. Good rides. The loading and unloading of rides is slow and amateurish, not a patch on the American parks. CBeebies land was full Of queues that didn't need to be there - it shouldn't take 3 minutes to load a 1 minute ride (go jetters). If you are prepared to wait and as long has you know... More

Did we enjoy ourselves, yes. Would we go again, yes but not in a hurry. We spent two days at the park over the May Bank Holiday staying one night at the Splash Landings hotel. Let's start with the hotel. Tired and need of a pick me up. Our room was for five people and whilst spacious was expensive and... More

We have been a few times and always come away happy. Rides are good and so is the quality of the way the park is kept. You can take a picnic, but we bought burger and fries for the whole family for about 7 pounds per head. There are always deals to get you in for less money, so worth... More

Lovely day with friends, I really did enjoy my time there. If you go during week days queues are short enough to ride many times as you want on everything. I won't hesitate to go again as soon I can with my friends.

Favourite place ever but it is getting ridiculously expensive to the point where I wouldn't go without 241 tickets as it is £50+ pp It is a magical day out and I go at least once a year, my favourite ride is galactica or oblivion.

We have recently bought merlin passes for our family and we stayed at the Splash Landings Hotel for the first time on bank holiday weekend. The hotel is great and the staff were very friendly, great with kid and quick to replace our broken tv. The day after we went to the park and there were a few issues with... More

Been to Alton towers a few times now. Very good value for money and I love the fact it always takes me 2 days to go round all the roller coasters and rides. So much to see and do. Recommend to visit at least once in your life.
