Great market on the first Sunday of each moth. Attracts lots of traders including a good vintage selection, street food, stalls, suitcase traders. Very well laid out and lots of Marshall’s around to direct you. Easy enough to park with a quick walk into town.

This is the first Sunday of the month, from April to September. In the car park there are lots of stalls selling vintage, and through out St. Catherine Street there is Artisan foods, some being cooked while you wait. Also there is a small stage where musicians perform. It starts at 10am, but you need to get there early to get a good parking space. I have been to them all, and it's a great day out, and you are sure to come home with something nice. Also Frome is a lovely little place to amble around, little like a mini Bath.

A wonderfully vibrant market with great stalls -and very friendly! My wife bought a beautiful vase at a really reasonable price. Frome itself is beautiful: full of great shops and eateries.

Used to be a great market, but now is full of food stalls and people queuing up. Nothing really interesting anymore and not worth the traffic queues. Shame, still ok if you want to queue all morning 😂

The monthly market is a real pain for locals. The market is on the main car park (genius) and the vast majority of visitors park on residential streets rather than using the poorly signposted park and ride. Even a mile from the town centre roads are solid with Range Rover Evoques.
The market itself is mostly dealers from London who sell rusty old tat at rediculous prices. If you want a 1980's plastic bread bin for £300 this is the place for you. It's full off those irritating toffs from London with their terrible children, usually called Araminta and Gallahad who they allow to run around irritating everyone as much as possible.
I've been dragged along various times and my opinion hasn't changed. It's the single worst thing about the town. Closely followed by Catherine Hill, I remember when all those vintage shops were called junk shops, selling the same rusty buckets and broken hat stands but for a fraction of the price.
If you're a good normal human, I'd strongly recommend avoiding the market. If you enjoy beard wax, artisan hand woven hummus, over priced old tat and spent your gap year in the Himalayas with Tarquin and Cecil all funded by your trust fund set up by daddy, then get in the Evoque and head for Frome.

If you like paying silly amounts for old tat (sorry, vintage retro) the Frome market is worth a visit.
It's in a stupid location, taking up nearly all the town centre parking while attracting hundreds of visitors (very few locals).
For me it's a ten minute walk away and I will avoid it at all costs.

this is a market along the main street of the town which causes massive disruption to traffic it must be a nightmare for locals, why it is held here is a mystery as there is a huge car park nearby which would be better. If you are looking for overpriced tat ( sorry retro gems ) dubious entertainment and bits of food then you would probably like it. We were staying at Longleat and thought we would pop along but we wondered why we wasted our holiday. It felt like a lovely historic town trying oh so hard to be trendy but failing, like an old person dressed in the height of fashion, it just doesn't work.

What a load of rubbish Frome itself is one of the filthiest towns I have ever come across I think it's people leaving all the overpriced rubbish at the market realising its awfull and dumping it so as not having the embarrassment of taking it home Frome has loads of empty shops and those that are used are charity shops What a con

This is a must, such a wonderful vibe with something for everyone, Frome by the sea for children. Artisan coffee, a fabulous range of street food. A vast collection of crafts and produce to discover along with a wonderful range of vintage goods. Brilliant.

Brings lots of people to the town but lots of traders from outside the town. Most of the Frome shops get no benefits at all from it. Also the town centre is heaving and you cant get benefits from it. Who wants to buy trinkets at inflated prices. Also, why so many fast food stalls?
