Great Facility

First time visit and very impressed with all facilities provided and efficiency/helpfulness of staff. Definitely worth keeping an eye on future events knowing it’s a first class venue.

This theatre is gaining national exposure!
Jul 2018 • Family
The McMillan Theatre in Bridgwater is easily accessed from the M5 J23 or 24.

You will find it has ample parking onsite or across the road in the Rugby Ground carparks.

This theatre was built in the last 5 years, if memory serves, and already has become THE place to go for performances and performers from far and wide.

If you come here, and I hope you do, you will not be disappointed in your visit.

Visibility is good from all seats, there is a bar and coffee shop in the entrance and you can take your drinks to your seat.

We have seen, ABBA tributes, My Fair Lady performances, Concerts, Classical Spectaculars, Evenings with ..., and dancing in the isles here - with glitter!

So come on, take a look at the web page, pick a thing to see, book and come along to the McMillan Theatre for the best evening out in ages.

👍😁👍 10 out of 10 chaps!

Lovely Theatre

This is a modern theatre. Friendly and helpful staff. Not a great for parking as most of it is on an overflow car park which is rough and uneven. The seats downstairs are comfy, but I would advise anyone thinking of booking the side seats upstairs no to as they are high, close together and very uncomfortable.

The theatre does have some very good shows including top comedians.

This is a lovely intimate little theatre with a great programme of shows! There is something for everyone. The staff are well trained & the facilities are superb! It is a wonderful local asset & a must for everyone! It’s a great introduction to the theatre for youngsters as it’s not too big!!

Jethro !!

Excellent night. Plenty of parking, some in a overflow carpark, beware if wearing heels 👠. No tarmac
It was raining hard when we arrived, soggy field with puddles in park car. Lobby tiny, so a squeeze to get to box office past people either queing at the bar, or drinking. Bigger would have been better, but we got in. Could see no seats, but maybe I couldn’t see for people. That said. Seats in theatre were comfy. Plenty of room. We were in the front seats...maybe not to good idea when watching Jethro...the other seats seemed quite highly staggered which meant everyone behind could see. There is an upstairs as well.
Husband said In interval there were 5-6 barmen serving which kept the queing down.
Lovely Theatre look forward to watching many more performances there.

Good theatre
Apr 2018 • Couples
Went to see Ruby Wax on 13/4/18, managed to get cancellation tickets which was fortunate. She had a sell out booking, which meant parking was tight. The overflow parking allocated was full so had to use other side of the rugby parking area which was cordoned off. The theatre is nice and airy inside with good acoustics although Ruby preferred the audience to use the mic during Q&A session. My only criticism is that I think the foyer is too small and not enough seating, and people are crowded too close together. I did like the book signing during the interval and getting my picture with Ruby. A good theatre to have in Bridgwater.

Good theatre, reasonable prices and plenty of parking
Feb 2018 • Friends
I have been to this theatre several times and really like the venue. I have mostly been to see the NTLive broadcasts, although went to the Royal Marines Band and have other events booked for later in the year. The seats are very comfortable and the arm rests can be folded up or down, so if you need a slightly wider seat, folding up the armrests gives that option.
The staff are always very helpful and have a very friendly but professional manner.
If you need accessible seats, there are seats available on the level, which can be booked by phone. All seats are tiered, which gives a good view and sound.
There is plenty of free parking and if the theatre is very busy there is an overflow carpark on the other side of the road. The only advice I would give if you are using the overflow carpark is that it is slightly uneven and muddy ground, so you will need to watch your step if wearing heels!
The bar is well stocked with a choice ranging from herb teas to two choices of gin and many things between.
The theatre shows and wide selection of shows, so I would expect there to be something for everyone - all at reasonable prices.

We came here to see Joel Dommett 1/6/17 the parking plentiful which was a nice surprise. The bar was well stocked but hardly any seating which was really annoying. The we sat front row .... never ever been so close to the stage (was nice) comfortable seating . We will definitely look out for future acts here .
