Burton Springs wouldn't have been my first choice for camping but we booked the night before during half term and there wasn't anything else available. However, it's a lovely little campsite in a beautiful area. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. The camping plots are quite large. Small shop on site. Bit smelly around the toilet blocks but, hey it's a toilet, not a place you hang around too long! Nice pub with a garden 1/2 a mile away - we didn't try the food but they looked good. Handy for nearby beaches - Blue Anchor was our favourite. Play area for kids although the only downside to the campsite was that my eldest is 11 and there wasn't much for her to do.

We were greeted by friendly and helpful owners who are in their first full season. This is an already established site but they seem to be looking to improve the site to enhance the visitor experience. Flat plots. New shower units. Shop on site has an honesty box, but limited range. Well placed if you want to visit the nearby Quantock Hills. Pub within 10 minutes walk (Shurton)

This campsite was a great find, really welcoming hosts and immaculate toilet facilities. Only stayed one night as we were hiking nearby in the quantocks but will definitely be back. Couple of pubs in walking distance and very dog friendly. Owners have really thought about the camping experience and made visits here very easy and enjoyable. Oh and there's also fishing!

We only stayed one night, to catch up with family. From the moment we arrived the hosts made us welcome, explaining the facilities and wishing us a good trip. We knew the hosts were there if we needed them, but never felt intruded on; they left us to relax and enjoy our trip. The facilities were of a high standard, particularly the bathrooms. Great idea having a picnic table outside each pod. The environment was not crowded as in some campsites. It is a very peaceful spot, quiet, with walking tracks nearby, and a good base for exploring the coast and countryside in that area. Would definitely recommend it.
