Great walk
Jul 2021 • Friends
We enjoyed our walk to the hides to see what birds we could see. Well laid out paths though the marsh land. A great place to walk off lunch

Good for a walk
Jun 2021
Stop off on way back from a week around Somerset/Devon. Free!!! And lots of walking if you want it with some good viewing spots for wildlife, especially birds such as Egrets, Oystercatchers and various gulls. Toilet at car park too.

Lovely for a walk and to see the birds
Aug 2020
We went for a walk here and it is lovely. Some bird hides. We saw some wading birds, egrets, and a few others - we are not bird watchers so cannot name them all.
There are toilets by the car park.
There are benches along the way which we used for a picnic.
There are boards with information which is useful.
Take good walking shoes - muddy in parts.

Combwich and steart marshes
May 2020 • Couples
We took a drive to combwich ,then went for a walk along the river parrett ,the walk led to entrance to the steart marshes conservation area, we walked along the trail for a while then it started to rain ,so we dashed back to the car and drove to the other side of the marshes, where the car park led to different walks, I went on a 30minute walk passing a insect house then a bird watch hive ,never saw any wild life but it's very well laid out ,there were only a few people there on the day we went but the weather wasn't very good , I shall return another day and hopefully I'll be lucky then

Lovely walk (even in the rain)
Aug 2020 • Couples
We visited twice this weekend... once in rain once in sunshine... nice paths, lovely toilets! Clean!

Only thing was wearing a mask in a one capacity toilet maybe is overkill!

Morning out
Aug 2020 • Couples
Not long been visting this site. Each time is different. If you dont see any wildlife on you visiit, do come back.
We went one day saw very little, next 14 herons all in one area/pond.
One area is going to be improved throughout August, so this may affect wading birds but plenty other birds and insects around.

Shame some people leave dog poo bags hanging on a tree branch or even dog mess in floor, lovely!!!

Toliets and hides open at 9am.

Only 6 people in one hide at anyone time.

Also have hand sanitizer at various points.

Little reminders of social distancing.
Easy to do here

Even just for a walk, great trails to follow.

Well worth a visit
Jul 2020 • Couples
My partner and I went here today for the first time.
It was really lovely and quiet their even though people were walking, running and riding their bikes walking dogs on their leads.
The gravel path was great for Wheel chairs so that was nice to see.
Their was a toilet area open even cos of the virus so that was good.
It was such a lovely walk .
Would recommend it

Parked in the official car park, crossed the road and followed the path out eventualy onto the bank of The Parrett and then back along the coastal path/road to complete our circuit. Very pleasant, artificaily restored marsh/sanctuary
