We've become regulars at Kinokulture over the last six months and cannot praise it highly enough. With it's blend of art-house and mainstream films, together with NT screenings and live events, having Kinokulture in a small town like Oswestry is a privilege normally reserved for those living in major cities. As others have noted, the venue is cosy and professionally organised, with high-end equipment and an efficient booking system. The very reasonable prices and welcoming environment have allowed us to become more frequent film-goers and ditch the often disappointing experience of attending dreary multiplexes. Congratulations and thanks to Ian and Ruth for all the hard work involved in establishing Kinokulture and we look forward to being regular customers for years to come. Bravo!

The most civilised cinema bar none.
Everything is just so- amazing sound quality, great drinks, friendly, welcoming and a joy. Oswestry is blessed.

We booked and paid for two tickets online. On arrival, there were unfortunately no pairs of seats left. Staff Member 1 said we would have to sit separate from each other, which suggests a poor understanding of a night out together. Having paid - and bought drinks - we opted to stay, and sat on a sofa off to one side of the screen. Not a great view, but better than nothing. Staff Member 2, instead of apologising for us not being properly seated, said, "That's for staff." Had it been me, I would have apologised, perhaps offered free tickets for a subsequent film of our choice. Instead, we were told off for occupying the staff's seating. Apparently, the staff come before paying customers. Excellent cinema, great range of films, yet extraordinary staff.

This theatre is small but very friendly and most comfortable. The staff are very helpful and one can partake of refreshments in your seat.

I went along with my family. We thought the venue was ideal with good prices compared to chain cinemas. They show all the latest films there. Seating is the old fashioned lift up kind but plentiful and fairly comfy. Only one screen and only 2 showings of a film per day. Lots of stairs upstairs to the cinema but there is a stair lift for those less able. Parking nearby at the council pay car park (free parking after 6pm). A reasonable choice of refreshments/snacks including coffee but not much in the way of chocolate bars and popcorn was a bit basic. This is a lovely little independent cinema in the heart of Oswestry and I hope it will be very popular.

We moved nearby a couple of years ago and finding this cinema was a massive joyous surprise. I see films here as often as I can now. Everything about it is great: diversity of films - everything from mainstream crowdpleasers to the weirdest niche documentary - it's great to have both ends of the spectrum. Most comfortable seats. Great screen. GREAT sound (that was the biggest and best surprise). Real cups for tea that fit in the cup holders! Tea is £1! Good beers. Lovely kind staff and volunteers. I mean. It's an all round winner and if you live anywhere near this town and you don't go and support it you're a turnip.
