Myself and my best friend held our 40th birthday party in the tap room. We hired the entire venue and booked ourselves a band and food vendor (Oxford pizza project - AMAZING!!!) and we had the most amazing experience!! The venue was fantastic, all of our guests loved the setting and size of the rooms and outdoor space! The staff were absolutely brilliant and Jo was so so helpful and had great ideas on our lead up the night too. Wish we could do it again! Highly recommend for a party venue.

I’ve been a supporter of the Loose Canon Brewery for a while now and I love their ales. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the cost of the beers on offer are always representative of what you can buy elsewhere. The quality of the products on offer are second to none though.... The new tap room this year is a wonderful addition to this business and opens up an additional new direction for Loose Canon to explore.

Looking forward to spending more time in this little spot of local real ale heaven in the future, we’ll done to all the boys and girls involved.

I was given a brewery tour as a gift for my birthday and went along with a fellow ale drinker friend to celebrate. We had a fantastic night, you are welcomed by the friendly staff, poured a drink and left for a few minutes to savour your pint. After a safety and information brief you can go on the tour/talk with the head brewer (there is usually a video played when the groups are bigger) the tour/talk lasts 20-30 minutes and is full of the history of beer making from days of old to the present day and then how the breweries own beers are created this is all done with great humour and wit and had the whole group engaged whilst we were sipping on another beer.

After the tour there were opportunities to ask questions to all the staff and grab some food we tried the nachos which were self catered by the brewery and very good and of course try some more of the beers around 10 were on offer including the usual suspects, seasonal beers and specials.

I highly recommend the tour it’s great fun in a relaxed atmosphere and I shall be going again and taking others too.

We visited on Saturday night as a table of 5. The atmosphere was really jolly and enjoyable. Unfortunately we waited 20 minutes for the first round of drinks to be served which was annoying!
They have a rubbish range of cider, I know it is a beer brewery but surely you’d cater for all. They only sell Hitchcox cider which is a local one from the Chalgrove area. It really is a bit rough, even the sweet one is hard to swallow! You’d have better luck with a Thatchers for the cider drinkers. If you’re trying to promote/support smaller drink manufacturers then perhaps try Lilleys cider?!
On the whole a good experience and I must say the drink prices are very reasonable. Just better options for cider drinkers would be nice!

Went to the 60's rock evening and everything was so good. The staff especially. It was table service only and the staff were simply superb, so unlike any other bar or restaurant I have been to in England. They were attentive, responsive, friendly and quick.
Christmas ales were some of the best I have ever had and the pizza truck outside made a good pizza.
Add to that some Stones, Hendrix and Beatles and you have a great evening.

As the brewery was only 10 minutes walk from where we were staying, it would have been rude not to visit. Certainly happy we did, the place was full, so glad we booked in advance and it was table service only. Tried 3 of their beers, all of which were excellent and had some fantastic street food from The Fat Tabby, which was serving food outside. The service was exceptional and a great evening was had by all.

Visited with friends the first Saturday we were allowed after easing of lockdown. Online booking was really efficient, staff friendly and helpful. We were sitting outside and felt very safe (just need to remember a coat next time!!!)
Beer was great and non beer drinkers enjoyed the local cider!
Thank you to all the team for adapting to the rules.

This is how beer should be. Once you have had the draught in bottles i.e., straight from the barrel, you won't look back. You probably won't go to the pub again.

Great pump room, brewery tours events and also shop.

The 4 of us went along. A night out to celebrate a birthday. Lots of blokes but quite a few mixed parties which was good. Really enthusiastic Team either serving you, doing a tour / presentation or operating the shop. Barrels to sit at with high stools.

You are given a souvenir pint glass to use. There was about 7-9 beers available to taste. It's up to you how much you have in a glass each time you go up. Maybe the lighter drinkers would like an option of a tasting glass, perhaps 5oz. The beers range from about 3.5 abv up to i think the highest was 7.25 abv (careful)

Just a really excellent night out. And apparently they do it every month.
PS we learnt that Will Laithwaite who owns the Brewery, that his Dad is Tony Laithwaite who runs Laithwaites Wines. And they have also started making Wine available too.

A great find.

Not a restaurant but good for buying their very good beers (and Laithwaite's wines) at a reasonable price.

I got invited along for a brewery tour and was a great experience which is probably the best night out i have had in a long time. The monthly brewery tours which in addition to explaining how the beers are brewed, provide unlimited samples of 5 of their beers, not to mention a sausage & chip supper. It's well worth going but book early as the tours are very popular and soon fill up.

I shall be buying membership (which is only £50 a year) where you get 3 of these tours and on 2 of them you are able to take 2 guests with you.

The beers are great.
