Business has closed down.
May 2018 • Solo
Just to let people know who aren't on the whitewater shooting ground Facebook page that the business closed down on the 7th may.
They didn't inform people who had in date unused gift vouchers that this was happening, their website hasn't been updated to inform customers of the closure and are now refusing to reimburse people for money spent on gift vouchers.
My parents spent £80 on gift vouchers for my son and nephew and now they refuse to repay that money.
That is absolutely disgusting behaviour from the company as it hasn't gone bankrupt but they chose to close down due to enforcement on what hours they could operate.

AMAZING day out
Oct 2017 • Friends
Fabulous day out with friends.... we bought two vouchers (wowcher and buy a gift) for clay shooting and archery. Telephoned 2 separate numbers to book the experiences but managed to get them on the same day (2hr round trip drive for us). We did the clay shooting in the morning. Our instructor David was great! Very patience and gave clear instructions. I never thought I would hit the clays but I did! Loved the whole experience. In the afternoon we had a 90 minute archery experience which again was amazing. Our instructor again was great (sorry can't remember his name) clear instructions and mixed it up with different challenges for us. Loved the whole day and would highly recommend. I will definitely be returning!

Disgusting service.. Avoid at all costs
Jul 2017 • Couples
I am very shocked at the service received today on my first visit to whitewater shooting ground. I had a pre booked voucher which I booked with them back in June, due to having no availability in June I was told I could book July which I did.
Upon arrival we were not even booked in. Despite me showing the confirmation email we were then told we had to wait a further hour where they would be able to slot us in. We waited, only to then be told after a further 40 minutes we could not do the event due to the voucher expiry date, by this time they had the voucher for over an hour.
We were humiliated in front of others and were even told that this kind of thing happens a lot as there is always a mix up with where people book. This was a birthday gift which we travelled for. Not only had the individual not even entered our booking in the diary but went on to say I had to take it up with the voucher company and we could not do the event. There was not even an apology about not writing the booking in even though I had the original email, which I showed him and had my phone snatched out of my hand for him to view!!
If you wish to feel unwelcome, humiliated and waste your time and money, this is the place for you.. if not I seriously advise you to not book here. There are plenty of others similar places to book where you would be treated with respect especially as it was his error.

Had a brilliant time, with clay pigeon shooting and rifle shooting, (bought as a birthday gift).
The instructors were very positive, especially the clay shooting gentleman.
Thanks to all, including the lady who made a superb cup of tea!!!
Would recommend to anyone

Mud, mud, glorious mud!
Jun 2017
We arrived with our children for an archery lesson purchased via groupon.
It really is just a field - a very muddy field at that. There is a very basic portacabin/shack with a free cuppa upon arrival and much talk from staff about the plans they have to build a high ropes course/segway course/quad bike course etc etc. All very good to have plans, but unfortunately at the moment the set up is very amateurish.
Our kids had their archery lesson from a nice chap named Ged, but the lesson lasted 30 minutes at most when we had been informed it would be an hour long.
To be honest, I had had enough of hanging around in the mud so didn't bother to challenge it.
The kids enjoyed it, but I wasn't impressed.

Very Good Friendly Staff
Mar 2017 • Solo
Very good , I have recently taken up shooting and everyone here has been friendly and helpful.

There is a plenty of shoots from Sports through to Skeet,

The only advice going forward is put another trap in for beginners as you do have to wait a while if someone is on it.

Tractor driving in the mud
Feb 2017 • Couples
This was an introductory deal for 20 minutes tractor driving each for 2 people. There is a coffee bar whilst you are waiting and then you are taken a short walk to meet the tractor! Jeremy is the instructor and at no time, did I feel uncomfortable with him or not in control of the tractor. The experience takes place is a very muddy field which has been purposely made with the tracks that you follow. Be aware that it is very muddy, the tractor is quite high up so sensible shoes are needed and also whilst you are waiting your turn, you are in the open so could get wet and cold! A good way to experience something very different - longer lessons are available. Don't be put off by all the men with guns!
