This place is great because I like birdwatching and the birdwatching is fabulous. Lovely walks. We saw a live crab on this beach.

We enjoyed a lovely walk along the beach which we found to be very clean. There were lots of dogs around but no mess left behind. We enjoyed skimming stones, looking for shells and taking photos of the cliffs.

Best beach in the borders with Kids splash pool, play park and the best and longest promenade in the North of England.

Too many people letting their dogs foul the promenade. I actually watched one man with a stafford letting his dog dump on someones front lawn where the mess was left. The cliff walk is even worse.

We stayed in Spittal last week and the beach was lovely! It was clean and was what I would describe as a proper British beach. We had great fun playing in the waves and collecting beach treasure :)
