    Granddaughter's day out.
Just had an amazing day with our 3 year old Granddaughter at this farm. So much to see and do, very reasonably priced entry which includes most attractions. There was enough to see and do to fill the full day and all the staff were so friendly and helpful which made for a great day out. We'll definitely be back 👍
Hi David, We are so pleased to hear you enjoyed your visit with us, thank you so much for taking the time to leave us such a lovely review. Your feedback is really appreciated. We hope to see you again soon!

    A great day out.
We had a great day here. So much to see and do. Our great niece loved it. She fed ponies, goats, meerkat etc and held a rabbit and a guinea pig. She loved the tyre slide, the safari jeep, the soft play the tractor ride with Andy and so much more. We were there for just over 4 hours but could have stayed longer. The animals were all in clean bedding with plenty food and water. The staff were all very friendly. This was our 3rd visit and we will be back again. We had lunch in the cafe and I see some not so good reviews but our lunch was fab and clean plates all round. What a great job you guys do. Thankyou.
Hi! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review. We are so pleased you enjoyed your visit, we can't thank you enough for supporting us and returning to the farm. We hope to see you and your family again soon.

Fantastic staff and a fantastic visit.
I visited the farm with a group of 45 nursery children from St Paul's C.E Primary School on Tuesday. I t A young lady, called Skye, was our guide for the day. I would like to say she was absolutely brilliant with the children. Her enthusiasm, passion and energy really made the day memorable and the children love it. It's great to see someone so young engaging so well with little ones. Well done Skye, you're a star I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a visit. The children will love it.
Hi Peter, Thank you so much for leaving us a review, the support is massively appreciated. Our staff deserve all the credit in making Whitehouse Farm what it is. We are so glad to hear you and your group enjoyed your visit and we'll look forward to seeing you again soon. Thanks again!

Great place run by great keepers
The keepers were exceptional, the bird handler was amazing and supported every adult and child to have interactions with the birds. Also very knowledgeable in sharing fun facts. The two handlers in the barn were also amazing, entertaining the children with creepy crawlies, small animals and the goats. Great personalities and really caring with the animals. Our experience was great based on the keepers who were a credit to the farm. Our niece is 10 and enjoyed the animals (even with a bad back).
Hi! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us such a lovely review. We are so pleased to hear you enjoyed your visit with us. Great day out
Had a great time. Especially enjoyed watching and listening to the falconer. He was really informative and was brilliant with adults and children alike. Lots of different animals to look at and learn about. Loads for children to do. Lovely cafe and souvenir shop.
Hi Claire, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review, it is hugely appreciated. We are so glad you had a great visit with the Whitehouse Farm Family, David (the Falconer) is new to the team and the positive feedback we have received already is amazing. We are so so pleased we have found another amazing addition to our little team. I'll be sure to pass on your feedback to David, I'm sure he will be thrilled to hear. Hope to see you again soon!

    Fantastic time, loads to do
My girls (3&7years) had an awesome time here. Feeding and being up close with the animals but there is also so much more to do here as well. The epic rubber ring slide, Bird displays, magic shows, singing with princesses and playgrounds. It’s an amazing day tout.

    Really good time
We had a really great time with a 5 month old and a 5 year old. There is a great mix of activities and all the animals you can see and mix with was really enjoyable. The lady taking the bird of prey shows was incredibly kind and I’d like to specially mention her, I can’t really fault the experience.
Hi, we are so pleased to hear you and your family enjoyed your visit with us. The lady doing the bird of prey was Cheryl, we'll be sure to pass on your lovely comments to her. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review, we really appreciate it. Hope to see you again soon.

A lovely day to spend with the grandkids - so much to do, we didn't have time for everything.
Wonderful place. So much for kids to do. Loved the big castle slide with tyres to sit on. Granny (me) and Grandad enjoyed it as much as the kids! Friendly helpful staff too.
Hi Pauline, pleased to hear you all had a great visit. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review! Hope Granny and Grandad were pushing to the front of the slide, the kids shouldn't have all the fun.

We had a diappointing experience. It was raining and the lack of facilities on a wet day meant that we had run out of things to do after 2 hours. Normally at farm parks customers are given a list of times of things happening that day. In this case there was limited information or staff available to inform customers about events planned. Maps used to be given to customers with a timetable of feeding events.
We queued with other families for the tractor ride, only to be disappointed when the tractor didn't arrive at the advertised time. We eventually found a member of staff and asked what was happening with the tractor. We were eventually told that it wasn't running today. The indoor play was closed which is fair enough due to covid restrictions. The farm park facilities appeared to have been scaled back, however, this should be reflected in the admission price. The day cost us £40 for a family of 4 which for the facilities available is far too much.

We are really disappointed to read your comments following your visit with us, its always a shame when the Great British Weather strikes on a day out and we are sorry to hear this impacted your day with us. Pre Covid-19 we always gave out maps and activity timetables out to our visitors, for safety we have decided to temporarily stop doing this, mainly to avoid contact items for our guests. We have however placed large posters at several prominent locations around the farm, including the entrance gate to let our visitors know how we are running. These posters along with large copies of our site map can be photographed to help you find your way around the farm. Our staff are always on hand to assist and answer questions to help you make the most of your day with us. Rather than scaling back activities, we have actually added extra measures, rather than having set times where you can meet our birds of prey, handle animals etc these sessions now run all day. We made this decision to stop crowds gathering, for everyone's safety. Its a change which has received some excellent feedback and ensures all our visitors can safety interact with all our animals in a controlled way. We have a queue system in place for the petting barn, with various stations set out to meet, hold and learn about a wide variety of animals. Our staff sanitise stations between every use, and you make your way through the barn just in your family bubble. Our falconer is also at our bird of prey area all day (slight break over lunch) where you can see him feeding, training and flying the birds as well as offering handling opportunities too. We are so sorry you had issues with the tractor ride. On the day of your visit the tractor ride was taken off for safety reasons. The tractor generally runs out into the field to get up close with the animals, however due to the torrential rain we had there was a risk the tractor would get stuck. We can only apologise this wasn't clearly communicated on the day. The soft play area as you point out is still closed, the restrictions the government have placed on the opening of soft play areas, have meant its sadly not feasible for ours to open. We did offer via our social media and website for customers to change their tickets this week due to the weather, as a gesture of goodwill. Reducing prices really isn't an option for us, we are confident we can offer a good value day out for the family whatever the weather. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback, its only by receiving both good and bad comments we can learn where we need to improve. We are all very passionate about what we do here, and our visitors leaving us having had a good day and making lots of happy memories is at the centre of everything we do. We are sorry that on this occasion we have not met your expectations. If you would like to discuss any aspect of your visit further please do not hesitate to drop me an email to dawn@whitehousefarmcentre.co.uk

We took our grandson here yesterday and he loved it!
There is something for all age groups and it’s a big site so there is lots to do.
The cafe served high quality food and you could relax outside having a snack whilst the children could keep on playing on the tractors and other rides.
The staff were exceptional and our grandson was delighted to cuddle the rabbits and guinea pig and feed the goats and go on the farm tour.
The absolute standout experience was when Liam expertly introduced us to the birds of prey.
It was incredible to see a golden eagle and to learn all about the other birds in his care and to actually take part in a flight display by a sparrow hawk.
Unforgettable!
If you have never been to Whitehouse Farm get in a car and go there now!

Great day out with 5yr old granddaughter. She loved bottle feeding the baby lambs (long queues in school hols so only get 20 seconds or so for photo). As with other reviews, cuddling other animals was fun, too, as was using the animal feed (£1 a bag at the entry gate) for slightly bigger lambs. She even spray numbered a lamb who was a few days old so farmers knew she was one of twins.
She loved the magician who was a "bit cheeky".
The centre recently added a long slide using inflatable rings which looked fun.
We knew to get booked timeslot - it is on the website but if turn up without checking the website it explains others experiencing delays to get in.
There is a cafe but also indoor and outdoor picnic areas.

Thank you for visiting us. We are glad to hear you had a positive experience with us at Whitehouse farm. It is much appreciated that you took the time to leave us a review, so thank you! If the lambs are something you're particularly interested in, I definitely recommended next season coming a weekday in March. It is a completely different experience!

So much to do.

Visited on a decent weather day. But there seems to be activities to account for adverse weather.

Indoor soft play, picnic barn, raving cars and animals

Outdoor trampoline, animal displays, air pillows, big slide go karts little playground and adventure playground on the front near the car park. (Which there's lots of space for) So good and bad weather catered by for plus old and young ends of your party.

In the mini tractors (little one) and go karts (big ones) and stuff for everyone in trampolines etcs. So.they do really have a lot going for them this place.

One thing we struggled with though was the condition of the animals - limping sheep, a limping (dragging it's leg) meerkat were some that didn't look the healthiest which was a little worrying. Pony with a abscess on its face in the first barn?

We had ice-cream which was wonderful.

Entry might seem expensive at 13/14 per person even kids. But you do get a tractor r ride and animal experiences included (feeding sheep, small furry handling, bird displays) which are often charged separately at other places so essentially it is good value for money. That being said the concern still lies with the animals welfare I've seen responses stating they are inspected regularly. But there was no notices to advise you the animal was under treatment for x,yz which would put you at ease knowing then were taken care of. The bird cages did seem small especially for one poor American kestrel. which despite being flown regularly why not give them a bit more living space?

Chap who was flying the birds was very knowledgeable helpful and friendly. Young lady in teh cafe was very kind, friendly and chatty with my daughter which was lovely.

Essentially lots to keep you entertained for.the day, nice gift shop on the way out. But welfare was concerning.

Hi Thank you for all your kind comments, we are always happy to hear visitors had a great day. We just wanted to point out your comment about animal welfare, we pride ourselves on making sure our animals are happy and healthy, giving them the best diet possible, lots of enrichment and exercise. The meercat which drags its leg is called Wotsit; he was born at the farm, without any use of both of his legs, after many months of intensive physio and vet visits, he regained use of his back legs, however he tends to drag the weaker of the two. Wotsit can freely move around and keep up with the mob which is great. He remains under close monitoring and lives a very happy and healthy life. He is now actually 7 years old! There were signs up around the enclosure which explained this at the time of your visit, but we have since but more up as well. The pony you mentioned is called Jake. Jake is the oldest members of our family, he is 36 years old. As an old pony, he doesn't have many teeth left. He's on a special diet, which is easier for him to eat and swallow. It takes him all day to finish his food and so he is let out to free roam so he can come and go and eat his food at his leisure, without our other ponies eating it. Despite having lots of yummy food for him waiting, he likes to wonder off and help himself to lots of grass. Due to the lack of teeth, he just sucks on the grass and then spits it back out. This is the lump you can sometimes see on his face; it is just his cheeks full of grass, sucking all the flavour out before he spits it onto the ground. You can usually find him in summer by following the trail of dried grass! Sometimes when sheep are outside, they can get a bit of moisture or stones in between their toes. This can cause infections and it's known as being "lame". Once the sheep and their lambs get taken outside, our farmers do a full check of the fields, once on a morning and again on a nighttime. This, among other things, is to check for any signs of lameness. If we see any sheep limping, they are brought inside with their lambs. We clean their feet, treat the area with medication and ensure they are nice and healthy before returning to the fields. All our animals get regular vet visits to check their welfare. All of the animals in the petting barn, including the exotic animals and our birds of prey, get weighed weekly and diaries are kept ensuring everyone is in a great condition. We also hold a zoo license and so we undergo inspections regularly. We do wish you had raised this to a member of staff on your visit, because we'd hate for anyone to leave feeling as though we don't treat our animals with all the love they deserve. Every member of the Whitehouse farm family is given the highest standard of care. Thank you for visiting, and again thank you for your kind words. I do hope this explains the situation and makes you feel better about your visit. we hope to see you again soon! The Whitehouse Farm Family

I love this place. We had older teen kids but they still had a ball. Get close to the animals and there's loads to do with jumping pillows, doughnut slides tractor rides etc. The staff are amazing and very friendly. What makes these places better than the zoo is the staff take time to talk to you about the animals and answer questions. The food and ice cream was reasonably priced and tastes great. Will definately be back next time I'm down this way.

Came with a couple of (adult) friends & had a fantastic day - helped by the sun being out and it being red hot!

It was my first visit since before covid & it's great to see that the high standards haven't dropped. Plenty of places to wash your hands under hot running water, with the soap & hand towels always full.

Plenty to do for people of all ages - even if one attraction/area is a little busy, there's so much else there that there is always something else to do while you wait for it to quieten down.

All the activities are included in the admission price (including the tractor rides, bottle-feeding lambs, close animal encounters, inflatable pillows & slides), with the only extras being animal feed (£1 per bag which goes a LONG way!) and the reasonably priced cafe (with no obligation to eat there, and plenty of picnic spaces available for you bring/eat your own food).

All the animals seem so happy and you can tell the staff really care about them. During the interactive sessions the staff know all the animals individually so are very careful to place the more confident animals with the visitors who may be a bit more boisterous, and give the more timid animals a wide berth where needed. They were also very sensible & selective in relation to whom animals that can be adopted from the centre can go to, they're clearly not in it for the money!

The staff are a real credit to the centre and can't do enough for both the visitors and the animals. A special shout out to Olivia who really went above & beyond in giving us a fantastic time handling the small animals!

Outstanding place to visit with the grandchildren, worth every penny EXCEPT the food in the cafe........ £7.45 for a hot dog with out the advertised onions on top or onion rings and a stale bun. £5.50 for a dry tuna sandwich and late delivered salad which turned out to be just coleslaw - staff cited being busy even thought the cafe was 75% empty. So if you bring your food you'll have a great time!!

We went for the Christmas experience. It is so well thought out and SEN and autism friendly. It's not the sort of thing we would usually be able to manage to do because our daughter struggles with busy noisy unpredictable environments but our daughter loves the farm so much that we thought we'd try it this year and booked the earliest slot we could in the hope it wouldn't be too packed. It is expensive but it was absolutely worth it for us. It is organised so you are kept busy doing things and not waiting in a queue at all for Santa, and all the families are spread out so it is a very quiet stress minimal environment. The little things like the way the visit to the toy shop to pick a gift is managed so it's not too many people in there at once makes a big difference for our family. The elves were absolutely lovely, very accomodating when our daughter needed a few minutes to calm down when she got overwhelmed and when she announced she needed the toilet right before she was about to see Santa, nothing was too much trouble and there were no questions or judgements which we sadly have to deal with all the time elsewhere but never at Whitehouse Farm.

The 'real' talking reindeer was amazing! Santa in his log cabin with a real fire was lovely, not rushed at all he had a good chat with our daughter and knew things about her.. she's excited to put her magic reindeer food out on Christmas eve. She loved elf school with the slapstick comedy (I don't know the head elf's name but she always loves his shows they are pitched just right for her to understand the humour) and making her own cuddly toy, she loved handling the animals and getting her passport stamped everywhere.

The only thing that was very stressful was lunch. We got to the cafe about 1pm because of the show times and trying to manage everything at the time it would be quietest, and it was really busy with a very long queue, it was a long wait to get a table and with all the events going on there was nowhere warm indoors to go and sit to eat pack lunch if you bought it, so the cafe was the only option. Although you can get a kids lunchbox quickly and skip the hot meal queue if you want to, you still have to queue even for sandwich for adults. It's not well organised and could be done better, but the staff were all friendly and doing their best. Go early or later for lunch if you can when it's not peak time. A seating area for bringing your own lunch somewhere warm and dry, and a better organised system for the cafe where you can grab cold food quickly if that's all you want would make it much better.

Also our daughter was really excited about the new softplay, it was probably top of her list and it wasn't open yet so I wish I had known that beforehand so I wouldn't have told her it would be and then she wouldn't have been disappointed. But we look forward to seeing it in the spring and all in all she had a great time and made some wonderful memories.

Great grandma, grandma 4 and 2 year old visited white house farm today. Visited many Santa experiences over many years and this was the best by far. Excellent staff all dressed as elves, incredible organisation and fantastic activities. Incredible all round from the hysterically entertaining elf magic show( adults listen up as he makes adults laugh as much as the children with his quick drop in comments ) then onto animal petting. Tinsel tractor upto enchanted wood, reindeer feeding, wishing tree with beautiful owl, Santa’s bauble wood to pick your own bauble from the trees to decorate later in the coffee shop with a super Christmas tree biscuit The best ever was the filing cabinet where we had to wait our turn to see Santa 😊three large deep drawers
Top Very best behaved children
Second Naughty children
Third Really naughty children

Elf looks in drawers to pick out certificate while grandchildren are crossing fingers looking very worried, fantastic who ever thought of this. Then magical escorted by an elf visit to the wonderful mam himself……beautiful relaxed Santa
Magic reindeer hay and a golden ticket to swap for present in Santa shop! Brilliant assortment of good quality toys on offer, our grandson is pirate and treasure mad so to see the gem digging kit just finished off an already perfect day
Well done white house farm, magical fun experience had by all

Thank you and Good luck with every thing

I recently visited White House Farm this week and Despite the weather conditions, we had a great experience. Although our visit was cut short to only a few hours due to the rain, we were able to enjoy ourselves. I would highly recommend this location to anyone who wants to get up close and fuss over all the animals, and I look forward to returning on a nicer day to fully experience all that this location has to offer..

The only downside is that some staff members used inappropriate language in the presence of young children. This behaviour was unexpected and concerning, especially considering the family-friendly atmosphere of the establishment. I think it is important for all staff to maintain a professional demeanour and use appropriate language when around guests, particularly in family-oriented settings.

We spent most of our time in the top barn where we could interact with sheep, goats, and horses. We had the opportunity to watch the few lambs being born and even had the chance to feed & hold them. However, our experience was brief as we were only allowed to bottle-feed the lambs for less than a minute. We had to wait in the queue for approximately 15 minutes, but the short feeding time may have been a deliberate measure to manage the queue efficiently.

Holding the smallest animals, such as rabbits and Guinea pigs, was great & relaxing as we could sit down and spend time with them. We were excited to watch the birds of prey however, it had to be postponed due to weather. We would love to revisit to watch the birds of prey show in the future.

Hi, thank you so much for visiting us and taking the time to leave us such a lovely review! We are so pleased to hear you enjoyed your visit with us. We are very keen to know which member of staff used inappropriate language, as we completely agree with you. If you could perhaps email us with a description/which department it was so we can be sure this does not happen again. Our lambs will only drink a certain amount of milk. We unfortunately don't have unlimited lambs and we do have to alternate them to ensure they aren't overfed. Sadly, this does mean when its busy we just can't physically let everyone have a super long turn. We try our absolute best to get through everyone, however we totally understand sometimes turns can be cut short. This is why we introduced lamb cuddling, it means everyone can still feed them, but then also have a cuddle and spend a bit more personal time interacting with the lambs. If you can, visit us on a week day outside of school holidays, or even a weekend outside of school holidays (But try the 3:30pm feed) it is a completely different experience! We do hope to see you again soon!
