The Lamb Man
Nov 2021 • Couples
When visiting Morpeth farmers market, which is held on the 1st Saturday of each month, although there is loads of local produce to buy,we recommend trying The Lamb Man,a farmer/butcher,based in Long Horseley. He has appeared on The Hairy Bikers t.v series.
Both he and his wife are helpful, knowledgeable about their produce and extremely pleasant.
The various cuts of meat are too class and well worth the cost.

Poor advert for market
Aug 2020
My wife bought a pair of trousers from the market on the 19/08/2020. She asked for a pair 34" waist & 27" leg they were in a sealed bag. My wife. asked if he was sure about the size he insisted that he was correct. Well, of course, they were not, they were at least 4" too long, by the time we found this out we were back home in Cramlington.I can assure this gentleman I will not let it go at this and will never use this market again

Don't go to Morpeth for the market
Oct 2019 • Couples
I was looking for a market to go to with my parents while we were in the North East. I noticed one of the 'Things to do' was Morpeth market, so that is what we did. However there are only about ten stalls! Fruit and veg, sausage, coffee, jumpers and pet food! I am not saying don't go to Morpeth, I like Morpeth since it is very oldy worldly. However do not go for the market alone or you will be very disappointed!!!!

A wee gem of a market!
Oct 2019
Less is more in this case, ie few stalls but each of different variety. The quality of, eg, fruit and veg, bakery and market garden stall is 1st class! Top marks to the lovely gentleman selling watches/watch straps/batteries - not only service with a smile (and a cheery word!) but advice on what was needed at a cost of less than half I've seen elsewhere. Thank you!

Foodies heaven
Oct 2019 • Friends
A great day out lots of locally produced fare, ranging from alcohol, coffee, cakes, meats. Also lots of food stalls showcasing different cultures of food. Well worth a visit when the market is on. I heard about this advertised on the radio, otherwise I would not have known about this. Very busy and parking to a while to find a space , but otherwise a great visit to morpeth again.

Food & Drink Festival
Oct 2019
Stumbled upon the Morpeth Food & Drink Festival during a first visit to the town. A vibrant, hugely popular town centre market, featuring some 100 traders on Bridge Street. Some quality local produce and crafts, a farmers market, street food and live music. Really enjoyed the visit.

lovely meats
Aug 2018 • Couples
Went for a lovely lunch in Wetherspoons. Then a,quick trip around the Market led to a tasty Sunday lunch. Picking up some fresh Venison and home made Mushroom sauce. Lovely cut of meat which went wonderfully with the sauce to which i added fresh mushrooms. I added some parmesan mash. Very tasty Sunday lunch.

Small
Feb 2018 • Couples
This is a very small market. It is but an eighth of what it was when it was by the baths in the car park by what is now The Electrical Wizard. There is the usual fresh veg and bakeries etc and also some small stalls with cheese and jams and chutneys. Doesn’t take long to get round.

Very small market
Sep 2017 • Couples
Honestly, i wouldn't call this a market. It's too small, 5 minutes of walking alongside the different stands and you're finished.

Hi Chris We are sorry you were disappointed. We have 20 stalls on the market and these are usually full each week on Wednesday. There are a number of quality goods sold including fresh bread; fruit and veg; fish and seafood; pet food; plants; pies and tray bakes; ladies clothes; macaroons; sausages from Geordie Bangers; haberdashery, e-cigarettes and mobile phone accessories. Morpeth is a small town that is well known for quality different shopping offer and the market helps to compliment the town's products. We also have a thriving Farmers market on the first Saturday of the month with around 25 traders. This month on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 October the market will be part of the food festival with over 100 stalls.
