The garden has been created around the Crookham URC church building and is part of the Flodden Field EcoMuseum. You enter by the gate to the left as you are looking at it - pick up a guide on the left of the gate. The garden is beautifully laid out and still maturing (only three years old) and takes you from the darkness of war - to a red garden reflecting on conflict - through a simple Japanese style section - to a place of dialogue - and on past the desolation of war to a pond and sculpture which open thoughts to peace and reconciliation. It can be done in less than an hour - but lends itself to stopping and pondering. The church is sometimes open with exhibitions - particularly about Flodden Field.
