Interesting route around Berwick old town, did not continue on the Spittal side of the Tweed due to strong winds blowing all day. Enjoyed wandering along the walls and attractive streets finding the same views Lowry had captured.

The Lowry trail is an interesting way to see the town. Some of the notice boards are in Berwick and some across the river in Spittal. It does take a while to see them all and read the information, so wear comfortable shoes.

Not a great fan of Lowry but certainly a walk worth exploring if you enjoy art and the process. A good focus for an alternativecwalk around the town and to see highlights.

We did the whole trail and really enjoyed seeing the actual locations painted by Lowry and learning about his technique. It is a pleasant walk and well worth the time spent. By the way I’ve read the two and one star reviews and simply don’t...More

This was an eye-opener. Reproductions of his paintings with intelligent comments gave a special interest to our visit.

We followed the trail most of the way around. It was a beautiful day and we really enjoyed the views and the Lowrie information boards were really interesting. Not to be missed if you’re in town.

Had no idea that Berwick was a favourite place of Lowrys until I came to visit. The trail is well organised with pictures by Lowry at the appropriate places on the trail & lots of interesting information. Advised to wear decent walking shoes/boots!

He came here for holidays and painted views of the town and the seaside, places which are still recognisable today as you compare the display boards with the real thing.

Hi I would say a good hour . We stopped and started diverting here and there. Plus a lunch stop so not really too sure!! Enjoy it anyway. The landscapes just as they were. My imagination went into overdriveSarah
