Very friendly welcome and a great choice of real ales. Very good price in to the bargain. Unfortunately had to go and find a place to eat, so only stayed for the one drink

We stopped in looking for food but were told they didn't serve any, jusy beverages. We left but then the barman followed us and told us which direction to go to find several restaurants. Unfortunately we chose poorly when we went to Limoncelos.

Stopped in to see the match on the television, there is only one tv on one side of the pub but we were lucky to get a seat. Good selection of ales for a small pub. Whilst watching the match, we got some free snacks....More

Was in Berwick for a football match, and in research the same two names came up again and again, Curfew and The Barrels Ale House. Both are really good, but Barrels is the more proper pub feel, and I actually visited this place twice on...More

As long as you like that old-style decor of pubs where every available bit of wall space is covered with photos of bygone celebrities, old advertising signs, music promotions and various items of assorted tat, then the Barrels Ale House should fit the bill. And...More

Popped in here whilst stopping in Berwick for business. What a great place. They had some good beers on including a very decent stout. The decor is quirky and the locals friendly. There is usually live music on a Friday that play down in the...More

This pub is also one of our favourites. The beer is always excellent and very well kept. It's a fascinating place with all sorts of memrobillia including a dentist's chair, which we both took in turns to sit in. Staff very friendly & polite. Definitely...More

They have a telly but it is rarely on. They usually show rugby 6 nations and not much else.
