Disappointed to say the least. We have been visiting the Greens for a number if years now when staying at Berwick but after waiting since before the pandemic for our most recent visit we were all very disheartened to find the quality of the food is not what it used to be. No specials available which made the meal expensive for what was served. Staff were not very welcoming or friendly - we were met at the door and barked at to wear a mask. I understand the establishment have decided masks must be worn but a polite request is all it takes. Will try again when come next year but if no improvements to quality or customer service then we will need to call it a day.

So disappointed by our visit today. We’ve been regular visitors here for over 10 years & I’m sad to say we won’t be returning in a hurry. It used to be a fantastic family place, but today they couldn’t even manage a bowl of chips. We booked a table, but weren’t informed until after our drinks were on the table, that it was a strictly Sunday lunch menu. My oldest son is Autistic & has a restricted diet, but this has never been an issue as a toastie or a bowl of chips would always be available, not today apparently. The ‘chef’ couldn’t manage either, & staff told us there was nothing available (even though we could clearly see other tables who’d been accommodated with alternative choices). I ended up with a substandard takeaway dinner & a trip to McDonald’s. If you’re looking for a family Sunday lunch, might be best to swerve The Greens in future, I know I will.

My family and i were really looking forward to having lunch here after good recommendations but when we arrived today to find all but 2 tables empty were told very firmly that unless we had made reservations then they were fully booked . Really !!
Don’t know who the lady was but she was downright rude . Your loss , no recommendations will be coming from us . We were staying at the Haven caravan park and have informed other holidaymakers of this place and the treatment we received .
We ended up going to Morrisons Cafe for our meals that cost less than half the price and received polite , courteous treatment from the staff who work there .

The restaurant in the Club house is open to non members and does seen excellent value food. It's very popular so suggest you book . The menu offered good variety classic pub type food. There are various nights they focus on steak curry or fish and chips. We found all the food and Bar prices to be reasonable . Friendly staff definitely one of our must go to,s when in town

3rd June afternoon- Five stars goes to the younger bar staff member who was very helpful when I enquired if they had any gluten free snacks and lactose free milk for coffee, she took the time to check with the kitchen and then made a fab cortado style coffee. Zero stars go to the older, loud mouthed, female bar staff member who proceeded to mock my affliction to a table of gentleman drinkers sat nearby, "heard it all now gluten free milk " she crowed. The men became quite vocal in their ignorant analagies of intolerances, which quickly spread to outlying tables, we were mortified. Noticing we were still sat enjoying the sunshine and had heard every word, said cowering staff member approached our table to whisper an apology, blaming the men! I did explain I couldnt help the fact I had allergies and intolerances. I agree with the raucus sentiments however, it is hard to find anything gluten free that is palatable, in fact its a challenge Im still learning to endure but could do without the sour after taste.

Disgusting attitude from staff. I pre booked.
Turned up to be told that I wasn't booked in.
I showed the call log on my phone, showing when I called, to be told they were closed that day, so no one could have taken my call.
My call log shows when I called, that the call was answered and how long the call lasted.
I know exactly who answered.
I was actually with a friend, who I had recommended the place to, as she was looking for somewhere to book for a big party.
She's now booked somewhere else.

Ate here a few times last year was our favourite.
Food still nice however not as good as it was before and service when we visited this time was way below what we had experienced last year. Not offered more drinks etc we had to go to bar and ask for drinks and sauces etc as couldnt get anyones attention. Much busier than last year so maybe thats the difference but certainly left feeling underwhelmed in comparison to our multiple previous visits. Last year staff chatted and made real fuss over the kids and were totally on the ball. This year apart from taking initial order and bringing meals over then clearing plates we had no interaction.
Fish and chips last year was huge and really really good. This year still looked huge when served but when cut into was a lot of batter and a lot less actual fish inside. Would possibly return but wouldnt rush back multiple times per holiday like we used to do. A shame as we had really looked forward to returning.

Decided to visit following recommendations whilst staying on the Haven site. Even though we booked it was not busy but did get busy around 6pm. Good menu and great choice. Our food arrived swiftly. Meat pie and roast dinner. Very nice but could tell that the veg was left over from earlier in the day. Sprouts sadly too hard and left. Having said this we did enjoy our meal but could see that diners after us by about 30 mins meals did look freshly prepared.

Staying at nearby caravan site popped into clubhouse from some food. Advise to book in advance as can get busy. We went midweek at 7pm and was quiet. Freindly staff quick service and good food had run out of guiness and burgers as been busy that day, But still found something good to eat. No steaks available this was only minus. Would go again

Friendly and helpful staff, course was in great condition, the greens were being worked on but still ran true. Fantastic views all around. The clubhouse staff were friendly, the food very good and the drinks cheap

We went in last night (Friday) without a reservation but the waitress said that on a Saturday night it’s better to reserve as they get quite busy I would imagine Sunday would be the same as they do roast dinners. If lemon cheesecake is on the menu do try it as it’s the best cheesecake I have tasted in years ! Crunchy base and definitely home made YUM !!!!
