unassuming place

Staying at nearby caravan site popped into clubhouse from some food. Advise to book in advance as can get busy. We went midweek at 7pm and was quiet. Freindly staff quick service and good food had run out of guiness and burgers as been busy that day, But still found something good to eat. No steaks available this was only minus. Would go again

Relaxed and friendly with a good choice menu

Advertised as open to non members we took a walk to the nearby club house for dinner. Although lacking a bit on atmosphere on a Wednesday evening -we were not disappointed in the quality of the food. We were greeted with a very friendly welcome. The southern fried chicken burger excellent- a fresh succulent chicken breast in a tasty coating in a fresh soft bun. The coleslaw accompaniment was super fresh. The clubhouse chicken burger was equally as good - fresh chicken breast with bacon cheese and fresh salad. Great value for money. Check out the interesting cocktail list at club prices

Disappointing
Sep 2021 • Family
Disappointed to say the least. We have been visiting the Greens for a number if years now when staying at Berwick but after waiting since before the pandemic for our most recent visit we were all very disheartened to find the quality of the food is not what it used to be. No specials available which made the meal expensive for what was served. Staff were not very welcoming or friendly - we were met at the door and barked at to wear a mask. I understand the establishment have decided masks must be worn but a polite request is all it takes. Will try again when come next year but if no improvements to quality or customer service then we will need to call it a day.

Afternoon Golf
Aug 2021
In terms of value on the twilight ticket, the golf course is hard to fault.
It was presented in excellent condition and gives a good variety of holes testing all aspects of ones game. Fairways are relatively generous and you have to be quite wide to bring the heavy rough into play which will invariably result in a lost ball. Bunkers were well positioned and consistent. Greens were large, true and even paced on the slower side.
The club cites the 8th as the signature hole hit over a north sea cove; it frames the hole well and provides a good photo opportunity but is only really in play for the total mishit. I preferred the 7th and also enjoyed the older holes towards the town walls on the back nine. The finish is interesting with the aptly named 16th hole (destroyer) utilising a sunken tee. The resultant blind tee shot can easily drift into ball eating rough on the right hand side of the fairway if too much is cut off. I liked the short 17th with a saucer green and the nicely framed par 3 18th to bring you home to a welcoming clubhouse.
Even in holiday season, the course was sparsely populated which made for a quick round.
As a clifftop course, I feel it compares favourably with Royal Cromer and Royal Tarlair and I would certainly look forward to a return visit.

Disappointing
Aug 2021 • Family
So disappointed by our visit today. We’ve been regular visitors here for over 10 years & I’m sad to say we won’t be returning in a hurry. It used to be a fantastic family place, but today they couldn’t even manage a bowl of chips. We booked a table, but weren’t informed until after our drinks were on the table, that it was a strictly Sunday lunch menu. My oldest son is Autistic & has a restricted diet, but this has never been an issue as a toastie or a bowl of chips would always be available, not today apparently. The ‘chef’ couldn’t manage either, & staff told us there was nothing available (even though we could clearly see other tables who’d been accommodated with alternative choices). I ended up with a substandard takeaway dinner & a trip to McDonald’s. If you’re looking for a family Sunday lunch, might be best to swerve The Greens in future, I know I will.

Fantastic food and service
Jul 2021 • Family
We were staying at the caravan site next to the golf club and a lady we were chatting to recommended here. We had walked past a couple of times and never thought it looked much so hadn't popped in.
We walked along and booked for the Monday night. 6 adults and 2 toddlers. When we arrived on the monday we got a table outside and everything was fantastic - definitely the best meal we had. Service wonderful and particularly impressed by the care and attention given to the children. We all loved it and we then returned on the wednesday aswell and yet again everything was brilliant. Very attentive staff.
Portions huge, great quality food.
The lady mentioned in conversation that they dont normally open a monday night but the boy who booked us in had got a bit confused and took our booking and he also hadnt taken a contact number so instead of letting us down they kept the restaurant open. We really appreciated this and shows what good servicd they give.
We wanted to try different restaurants and we were out and about a lot but honestly we could have eaten here every night and been happy.
Still strict on covid rules, although england has relaxed their rules the golf club has not and you still must wear face masks inside.
We are so glad this was recommended to us as I can honestly say we probably wouldnt have thought to go in if it wasn't.

Family with young children
Aug 2020
The older woman working in this bar needs to retire immediately....I went in to buy my Grandbairns and foster child a cup of hot chocolate and myself a coffee...as I did the week before and because I as requested I left my contact details on the track and trace form and when asked to fill in the children's names I refused...(due to child protection issues and it not being a requirement of T&T) she said we’ll get out!!! I said okay?
She shouted ‘without your hot chocolate!!’ (Okayyyy?!)
On way out the 6 yo asked to use the loo I said ok we’ll all have to go in....
This absolute damned disgrace of a woman came slamming into the toilets shouting’Get Out you didn’t fill form in!!’ I pointed out that actually I had...she screamed get out you aren’t allowed to use these toilets!!
The bairns were terrified...As the little one was in the loo and there was no way I was leaving without her I said we’re going but can you back off?
By this time this vile woman was now in my face foaming at the mouth..
.Obvs Not so strict on covid rules at all!
Just being a bully
I asked her to step back out of my face get at least a metre away while I got the kids out of the loos!
She did eventually move out so I could get past her at this stage I was actually more worried about catching Mad cow disease than Covid-19!!
I’ve honestly never seen anything like it!
I told her that her behaviour in front of children was disgusting and she said you came her last week didn’t you and did the same??
Yes I bought 2 coffees?!....and???
Be very careful of going in here with children as an adult insisting on taking children’s details needs to be avoided at all costs...although the sign says families welcome it’s a massive lie!

Keep it straight
Jul 2020 • Friends
I love this place but be warned keep it straight and on the fairways
You put it in the rough and you will suffer
It has a varied range of holes
One of the best part 3 you will come across
You fire over the cliffs great hole
Well worth a visit
