A must see place if you visit the museum and memorial for Grace darling. Lots of interesting little areas to look at. Special stained glass windows for various things plus the original memorial of Grace Darling that had been brought indoors to preserve from the weather

Stunning church and the monument to Grace Darling was beautiful. We met an elderly gentleman in the graveyard who told us about the history and that there was a really old grave dated around 1600 or earlier which we tried to locate but time wasn’t on our side. Lovely views over the sea and such a peaceful place. Well worth a visit

Anyone who enjoys history should visit this church!
Not only does it have a crypt which has a fascinating story it also tells you about the past residents who have been laid to rest here after their original resting place was disturbed during bad weather. The story is fascinating and well worth listening to.
It also includes the Darling family plot and a beautiful memorial to Grace Darling and again this is well worth visiting to pay you respect to an incredibly brave young woman.
The church is beautiful and well keep and preserved even if you are not a religious person, it is still a place very interesting to visit.

It was simply a must to visit this beautiful church, overflowing with history. While visiting Bamburgh before checking into our accommodation at the Boathouse at Middleton hall on the 9th October
After my father passing away on the 8th October I still endeavoured to travel this wonderful and enchanting coastline. Simply breath taking. Visiting st Aidans church filled me with peace and light candles for my father. It will always stay in my memories!!!!

What an interesting church! Apart from the monument on the grave of Grace Darling in the churchyard, there is another memorial to Grace Darling inside the church. There is also a stained glass window dedicated to her.
There is a voluntary donation box.

Don’t forget to visit the crypt, accessed from the churchyard. That has a really interesting video presentation.

Chance encounter with the church for a talk on the mystery knight buried or memorialised there. But so much more - beautiful reredos, Grace Darling's monument, St Aidan's last resting place (literally) and gorgeous stained glass. An intimate contrast with the grandeur of the castle that looms ahead on the road.

Every time we visit Northumberland, i always make it my mission to visit this beautiful church in Bamburgh. Quiet, tranquil and peaceful. It's a church that is very important and close to my family and it is always so welcoming, also rich with history. It is a shame that the Crypt was closed on our visit today as the last time we visited, it was being built. Nonetheless, an enjoyable time.

Visit Bamburgh each year. Park in field next to the church cheaper. Walk around the church yard seeing the locals at rest. Makes you think about the world. See Grace Darling’s grave and read her short life history. Watch the swallows fly in and out the church. They have even cut a hole in the door to allow they access.
Lovely place to reflect .
The church was shut on our visit this year but do recommend a visit.

Quite an impressive church for a small seaside town like Bamburgh. Great architecture & lovely stained glass, including one dedicated to Grace Darling. Her grave & memorial are also in the churchyard.

The church honours St Aidan, but equally features Grace Darling - there is a memorial inside the church and a monument in the graveyard (currently surrounded by fences). The church is lovely with many beautiful stained glass windows. A place of prayer and thought. The Grace Darling museum is over the road - free, don't miss it.
