How do you explain in words what this beach is like? Stunning sands, beautiful dunes, clean sea and views that are out of this world. Big enough to do anything on but small enough to be intimate, got it all really. It also has almost beach side parking for free!

We visited this beach as a family with 2 adults and 2 children and a dog. The beach was absolutely stunning on a hot day. There was barely anyone around so it was very clean. It was a bit of a walk from the car through the fields with all our clothes and picnic items but well worth it. We... More

Ross Sands isn't the easiest place to find, but at least there isn't the usual customary pay car park at the end of the lane, just a polite request to park tidily for farm vehicle access. It was a fair walk from the car,and each new horizon promised a view of the sea. The last climb opened up the vista that is Ross... More

Bookended by lindisfarne and Bamburgh castle. I am loth to review this place because its beauty is the long golden deserted beach. It's approximately a mile to walk from a small car park down a poorly signposted minor road. You have to know where you are going but once there the sheer beauty of the place makes the trek worth... White sand, big grassy dunes, rock pools - what a perfect beach. Even though the weather was mixed sunshine and showed we had a lovely day here with 2 toddlers. Bigger people could walk to either Bamburgh or Seahouses, we admired the view

We arrived at the beach around 7.30pm on a stunning mid June evening and walked along it's length to the navigation pyramids. It's a three mile walk but the sand is generally hard and the walking is easy. The area was deserted. At the far end, close to the navaigataion columns and the small cluster of large pebbles there were... More

My husband is very poorly, and this is one of his favourite places places along the Northumbria coastline, it was a lovely, sunny day, and we spent it with. My sister and brother in law, sat on beach people, watching, it is an amazing place to visit so if you haven't experienced Beadnal you must make some sandwiches and go there, nothing... More

Love this beach it is one of my favourite. A small walk is required but the views, peace and quite are worth it. Views to Holy Island, the Farne Islands and Bamburgh on a good day are superb. Never more than half a dozen folk on the beach every time I visit.

Kept coming back to this beach whilst visiting the Scottish Borders and Northumberland. I think we went three times in two days. It's a beautiful stretch of beach with Bamburgh Castle overlooking. You could see right out to Lindisfarne and the Farne Islands. There are stretches of lovely fine sand broken up by rocky areas. Great place if you like... More

Visited on May 28th for an evening walk on the beach. The beach was one of the best I've been on in the UK. Normally you have to pay a lot of money to have a beach like this. However, you don't find many beaches with castles in the background. This is a great place for pictures! The beach is... More
