I don't want to leave a review, because more people will find out where it is and spoil it. It's a long walk over dunes and through fences, but well worth it. No shops or amenities anywhere near, so take provisions and make sure little ones have been to the toilet.

Searched for an ideal beach where our Labrador pup (5mths old) could experience the beach and we weren't disappointed, an amazing beach and even thou our pup was afraid of the sea he loved being off leash and with other dogs around enjoyed playing. The beach itself was so beautiful, the sand so amazing kids loved being buried in it.... More

This is my favourite place in the world whether a sunny summer day or a wild windy winter afternoon. It is so clean and there are very few people around, the white sands go on forever when the tide is out. Once you get to the beach opposite Holy Island it is sheltered and on a sunny day you can... Clean and secluded this beach is a perfect spot to set up camp and relax all day whist the kids have loads of room to run about, make noise and mess!

Awesome! Well worth the trek to get there. Feels like your on a beach in Australia... We visited Holy Island the day before and even from there it looked beautiful, we knew we had to go!

I suspect somewhere in the Caribbean or some remote expensive island there is a beach to rival this and good luck to those who can afford to visit it, but Ross Back Sands is by far the best beach I have ever been on. It stretches for miles, a total stress free place to visit, hardly anyone about except the... More

A lovely beach as all in Northumberland stretches for miles. We walked from Seahouses to Bamburgh about 3 miles but worth it. Caught bus back but watch times only come every two hours. As all beached dog friendly just what we wanted..

Just a wonderful beach with wild sand dunes sun and sea, what more could you want. This has to rival any beach in the world on a good weather day.

How can this place not be liked. Clean sand, castle and dunes as backdrop, Farne Islands and Lindisfarne visible in the distance. Mile upon mile to stroll along and release the tensions of life. People saying 'hello' and lots of smiles. People of all ilks (dog walkers, swimmers, paddlers, book readers, walkers), all have a reason to be there. You... More

Yes it's a little walk....but that is what makes it special. Remote, clean, beautiful. This is the best beach for miles. No facilities just peace and quiet.
