My wife and I walked a stretch of this great beach yesterday, and even though the weather was not particularly kind, overcast and windy, it was still a fantastic site. Endless golden sand with the sea sort of crashing in........ wonderful.

Fabulous sandy beach with views of Bamburgh castle & out to sea. Stretches to seahouses so a nice long walk on a beach that is so clean. Dog friendly too.

Visited here in June 2018 and on a glorious day this beach was incredible, we went with our dogs as we believe they are allowed all year round . We parked at the public (links) car park and walked back towards the castle which makes...More

The beach below Bamburgh castle is stunning. Vast beautiful sands, clean and well kept. Great to walk along and popular with dogs although not a problem - there is space for everyone. Bamburgh castle overlooks this beach and can be reached by walking through the...More

Wide expanses of sand and dogs everywhere and so well behaved! Cross the dunes and the sands greet you. You can walk for miles and everyone seems so friendly - always a smile and a few words - usually about the dogs! Stunning views back...More

A stunning, expansive beach. If I have any general feedback, I would say that it needs to be signposted a little better! Although it is only a stone's throw from the castle, there are numerous ways to access it - mainly via steep, undulating and...More

Unbelievably vast beach, and with the castle as a backdrop is simply unbelievable. A stunning place to walk, and plenty of space for children to run riot

Wow - what an amazing beach. When the tide is out it is vast and goes on forever, we so enjoyed our walks along this beach to Budle Bay in one direction and to Seahouses in the other. The sand was just perfect for walking...More

I did not see any evidence of BBQ. I would consult Northumberland Council to get an opinion.

Hi Michael The access to the beach is not good for a wheelchair. There is a boardwalk for part of the way from the green but petters out once you reach the dunes. Hope you enjoy your visit and your son does too.
