Up and Open again
Sep 2021 • Friends
After nearly 2 years it was great to see the hard work of the volunteers in getting this mixed Heritage Museum open again and welcoming visitors. It's places like this that bring the history to us today, without them so much is lost

Great place to visit at weekends
Jul 2019 • Couples
Love the old fashioned style of living. Shame the trains didn't have more rail to run on. I'd love to do a few more miles on a train, maybe to Wellingborough???

Evening drinks

Great place with loads of character, different real ales each week. A step back in time, with gas mantles and old railway carriages , museum open on special days and rides on the train.

A great place for real ales
Nov 2018 • Family
My husband and I have been on many occasions and they always have a couple of guest ales available. They also host many specialist weekend the Cider festival was a particular favourite of mine when a railway carriage was kitted out with an large variety of different ciders for around the country. The historical weekends where they show vintage cars etc always have a renovated buffet car serving teas and coffees and usually over by the goods shed, on the other side of the road a couple of food wagons

A little piece of history.
Jan 2019 • Couples
Was visiting Higham & Rushden for the weekend and had a little walk around this old station. It's fantastic to have a little walk around and view the old trains, there's also a small museum and a pub attached to the platform. Would love to visit on an event day as I think the atmosphere would be really good.

Christmas Afternoon Tea
Nov 2018 • Couples
Decided to take both mums here for afternoon tea. Lovely place and very unusual sat on train carriage, could just imagine being on the Orient Express lol.

Food within the set afternoon tea was plentiful and very fresh. Cakes and scones very moist.

Would recommend this for anyone wanting to try for next year.

Very interesting place to visit. And will come again. Well worth it. Like stepping back in time to an era when things were not so rushed, though im sure they were.

Visited here when they were holding a 40s weekend.
Very well attended and the museum was very informative with volunteers on hand to ask any questions. A very good day well worth a trip.
