This park is actually the grounds of a Jacobean house that the council now use as Rushden Museum. I have a soft spot for the building as we got married there in 2000, in the wooden panelled main room. The park is well kept, with a free parking area built on the old walled garden. There are several entrances to the park, but you cannot let your dog off his lead in the main park area, where people walk. Instead, there is a secure specific large area for dogs to charge around in, and it's very useful for training recall in too. Lots of bins, and wooden and mesh edges so that the dogs can't get out, regularly maintained. There is also a children's play area near the car park, with something for older kids too. Good place to picnic or while away some time walking or sitting, looking on the lawns and central band rose area. Recommended!

This is Rushden's main park and contains Rushden Hall and Rushden Museum. There is also a children's playground. There is also a wooded area with a small stream running through. Various events are organised throughout the year.

Just come back from walking our 9 month puppy. Excellent place to let him off lead safely and to meet other dogs. Will definately drive from Bedford to go there again as there are no dog parks near us. Only takes 20 minutes from Bedford and well worth a visit.

Used to be the best park in Rushden, still is, as long as you don't own a dog. The council took it into their heads to ban dogs off leads and build, at considerable expense to the ratepayers, a mud bog prisoner of war camp for dogs and their owners. I, somewhat naively, as it turns out, thought that public parks were there for the enjoyment of all, including dogs. East Northants council should be deeply ashamed of themselves. I, for one, won't ever vote for any of them again.

Rushden Hall,a grade 2 listed building was built here in the 14th century and is open to the public. There is a small museum in the park too which opens from April-October at weekends and is open for 2 hours from 2pm-4pm.The park is accessible by many entrances. Rushden park has a decent childrens play area and encourages responsibly dog owners. The park holds the party in the park annually in early July as well as the fireworks display on Bonfires night.Visited September 2016.

A truly lovely park in the centre of this well known shoe production town. Very well kept and the local council has restored its history. Well worth a visit

A beautiful park with an avenue of trees .
Areas for children to play, dogs to walk in their own area and general relaxation areas.
Came back nicely relaxed having enjoyed a leisurely walk around the park with my husband.
A beautiful border runs down the side of the Walled Garden and a Rose arbour adorns the centre of the park.

A lovely gem in the centre of town. Extensive open grassed space, dog area, children's play area - something for everyone. Stunning Hall with lots of history and Walled Garden where the Town Council put on events over the year including the annual "Party in the Park" - not to be missed. Green Flag Park

Yes the kids area could be better but where else can you get that huge open space where kids can be kids?

A Beautiful place to walk the dogs. I've seen green woodpeckers, grey squirrel, red kites and many other animals/birds. The dog park is a great secure place to take the dogs and let them run wild, meeting all their doggy friends and getting their exercise. The people are lovely too 😀
