Did the ghost walk on 29th February.
The lady who was the host, was entertaining, knew her history and was humorous.
A thoroughly enjoyable evening, exploring the dark, creepy backstreets on Robin Hoods bay, being entertained with stories of smugglers, ghosts and witchcraft
Well worth the £6 fee and highly recommended

RHB is my family home & I spent all my childhood summer holidays there. I thought I knew everything about this wonderful little village I consider home, but no, Rose taught me so much more on her fascinating Ghost Walk last night, and in such an entertaining way. I can not recommend this Ghost Walk highly enough & it is such good value for money. Thank you Rose for opening up a brand new side of the Bay to me, after 52 years!

We really enjoyed the ghost tour! Rose was an excellent and talented story teller, with lots of interesting views on modern day living and nature as well as entertaining and informative ghost stories. She knew a lot about the history of the area and kept us captivated with her tales right until the end. It was more informative than “spooky” but we were very happy with that.

My partner and me had spent the whole day walking around the beautiful Whitby coast and made a quick return to Robin Hood's Bay to ensure we didn't miss the ghost walk on our last night. Thinking we could get in a sneaky drink beforehand, the tour guide showed up requesting money 10mins early. We went down to pay up so that we didn't miss our slot and the lady announced that no drinks were allowed. No problem! We were happy to bin them. She then announced that she was over capacity. Two kind ladies offered us their place as they would be back the next night. The tour guide kept their money saying she would remember them as they walked away and then still refused our custom. She awkwardly tried to explain in front of a number of guests why we weren't able to join her tour and announced that we will receive free entry next time!.... I find this unlikely as she cannot even remember to do a head count, not alone recall a couple of faces in the dark. Ended in total embarrassment, some tears and a disappointing end to our lovely holiday in Robin Hood's Bay.

I'm sorry, maths was never my strong point. But let's face it, there's nothing like a good cry after a few drinks.

I loved the ghost tour, it was a fitting end to a lovely six day stay at Robin Hood's Bay. Rose was a skilled story teller, weaving her magic, entertaining us all with her tales and sharing her love of this wonderful universive we live in. It was so wonderful to be entertained in real life instead of through a screen. Thoroughly enjoyable.

The lady story teller was dress to impress but that was it, she seemed distracted and often didn’t finish the story she was telling so difficult to follow.
We did however cover quite a bit of Robin Hoods Bay, so wear comfortable shoes and take a torch it’s quite dark down those narrow pathways.
Not worth the £8 per person

On the evening of Thursday 10th June 2021 my grand daughters aged 10 and 15 walked their dog on the green near the museum and were just returning to the cottage that our family had rented, so close to the green that the ghost walk narration could be heard from within the cottage. The girls had the misfortune to bump into the ghost walk as they attempted to return to their cottage but the leader of the ghost walk shooed them, gesticulating with her arms and told them they had to go a different way. They explained that they were going home but were still shooed away. It was only when my ten year old granddaughter rang her dad that the ghost walk leader let them pass. They arrived home very upset. The following morning the girls and their dad met someone who had been on the walk, he said how rude the group leader had been and hoped the girls were ok. Its a privilege, not a right, to be able to walk the streets and alleyways of RHB telling these ghost stories. The streets do not belong to the ghost walk!. The safety and well being of two young girls is far more important than a few made up stories. I would also add that as a family we all went on this ghost walk in 2019. The same leader was very short tempered and rude with children in the group on that occasion too. Everyone has a story, not just the ghost walk. We don't know anything about what people have gone through, or are going through whether they are children or adult. In a world where we can be anything, lets be kind. Shame on you, Ghost walk leader for not being more patient and kind.

I have no idea why you would make something up this bizarre and damaging. I remember two girls with dogs coming up the path about 50 yards away and seemed uncertain as to which way to go. I knew there was another way around so I casually waved them on to go the other way and it was done playfully. There was absolutely no situation where I blocked their passage or a child had to call their Dad in order to get past. I have no idea why you have written such a fabrication. None of this happened. I always keep the thoroughfares open for passersby. As for the accusation of being rude, I work with crowds all year round and make enormous efforts to be patient, kind and to take care of the wellbeing of the whole group. If this sometimes means I have to put my foot down in order to do this, and this is perceived as rudeness, I can only apologise.

Have been on many ghost walks around the UK and this was one of the best. Our story teller really gave us a feel for Robin Hoods Bay of old and added humour which all made for a great tour. Loved her stories and obvious love for the world we live in and share with the boggle, imps etc. Highly recommend.

This was an incredible experience and really made our second night at Robin Hood's Bay. Rose is charismatic and her stories are charming, dramatically told with gestures and vocabulary that make them even more fun! The history of the bay is in itself interesting, but Rose's personality and humour made it even better. She was kind and humourous, even when there were small distractions from dogs and passersby etc and made the tour welcoming. Really recommend!
