set my gagging reflex into a frenzy. I was not alone, the Mrs hated hers too and refused to take mine. This futher strained marital relations in this Yuletide festival of covid lockdown and otherwise season of goodwill. Following this I had to brave the onslaught of storm Bella to seek the grey food caddy and risk pneumonia. There is some good news though, at least the food caddy is Fox attack free tonight. I could not recommend this cheese to my worst enemy, hopefully it has not put me off Wensleydale and the wonderful village of Hawes.

We visited here in September as we were in the area. We saw the cheese being made and had a look around it was quite a short visit as there were a few bits closed due to covid. There were long queues to get into the cheese factory and in the rain it wasn’t ideal. Car parking can be hard and we had to wait for a while, there didn’t seem to be an adequate amount of parking due to the size of the site. The queuing system needs some work as you have to wait in the line for the gift shop and cheese shop if you need the toilet which we did and it took over 45 mins. The gift shop and the cheese is quite expensive but the cheese is worth it. If you can I would recommend trying the Mac n cheese in the cafe it was the best I have tasted.

An interesting lace to visit but I was very disappointed in the price of the cheese. Given there is no distribution costs you would think it would be cheaper than in a shop 100 miles away. I can buy it much cheaper elsewhere. Rip ,off for tourists
