Family visit whilst on holiday in August

Great place to visit, the kids will love it! We have visited the past 2 years and would return again in the future.

Visited during our recent holiday to Filey. Our son was very keen to visit as he loves animals and birds with a passion. Unfortunately, we were all done within 40 minutes and that was stretching it. The range of birds and animals was very narrow - mallards and muscovy ducks (which we can see every day on our local river),... More

Thank you for your review, and we are sorry you were disappointed. For the benefit of all potential visitors I will attempt to address some of the issues raised in both this, the following similar review, and also some of the other more negative ones. This will inevitably make for a long response, but I feel that some points need... More

We were staying at The Bay in Filey, we found this place in a guest book at our cottage and saw that it has been rated Northern Rail Attraction of the year. It was a bit of a let down as it was very expensive for quite a small garden, though the parrots did look very looked after and were... More

We took a trip here while on holiday at Primrose Valley. The gardens are not huge but are lovely, informative and well maintained, the addition of birds throughout the gardens were lovely. We purchased food pellets at 50p a bag so we could feed the larger animals, our 5 year old loved that. The new sensory garden was great and... More

Went here with my family. We have two children aged 8 and 4. Really nice for a morning or an afternoon but not enough for a full day. Non the less it is still great for a visit. Feed can be bought at the entrance for some of the animals (kids love that) and there is also a small play... More

Lovely place. Struggled to spend an hour looking at the animals and small play area though. Very pretty small garden area.

We took our 2 year old last week and had a lovely time. It has a very relaxed, wellcoming atmosphere and the abundance of picnic tables was a nice change from the usual push into a pricey cafe from many places. I'd recommend going when it opens before the animals are over fed by other visitors, our little boy loved... More

Love this place we parked up and was a huge marquee on car park...a family wedding was taking place the following weekend yet staff were still very chatty and polite at ticket office bit . Animals all look so happy love sitting in secret garden. We also enjoyed returning after a year to see how things have changed. Such a... More
