Whilst in Scarborough last week I visited Filey Dams Nature Reserve on recommendations from locals and was not disappointed. The new hide is excellent and the variety of birds visiting the site was a surprise. I would definitely recommend visiting this reserve

I live very near the Dams in Filey and never get bored each time I visit the Dams. It is an amazing place especially at this time of the year. There is such a variety of birds to see.

Spent a very pleasant hour with my toddler looking at the birds in the hides. The reserve has two hides connected by a well maintained boardwalk a couple of minutes apart, with the car park in the middle.

A danger of me posting reviews too many times for Filey dams but always good to provide an update. At the moment, there are dozens of little copper butterflies and worth taking a macro lens with you if photography is your aim. On the bird...More

Hi Mark, I am afraid there are signs up that say dogs are not allowed beyond the car park.
