- GirlsfromwarringtonWarrington, United Kingdom38 contributionsUnder New OwnershipVisited for the first time. Lovely big indoor area with a nice outdoor seating area. Great views. Friendly service and coffee was nice. Perhaps when they get more established they could provide more cake options. When we were there they only had large muffins, lemon drizzle cake loaf and fruit scones. Would be lovely to see a Victoria sponge/chocolate cake and a gluten free option on the menu in the future.Visited February 2023Traveled with friendsWritten February 24, 2023
- Clive P3 contributionsCafe in Glen GardensIt might have been February and a bit damp, but those lovely gardens are delightful. And in the midst we came across a great cafe just recently taken on by the owners. Excellent coffee and fabulous scones were consumed. The 1950s(?) building is a joy. Check this out - a refuge from inclement weather or for a tasty treat!Visited February 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten February 28, 2023
- ann r6 contributionsPerfect VisitFirst visit to Glen Gardens since the play ground was improved. Easy parking, grandchildren loved the play park. Boats, golf. 5 star service in the cafe, reasonable prices, lovely food. Seating Indoor and out. Toilets. Walk down to the beach is not too bad (2x72 year olds) and easy walk back up. Lovely beach, cafe, ice cream, toilets. Perfect.Visited May 2023Traveled with familyWritten June 4, 2023

In the summer we visited the cafe and play area , fantastic play area caffe a let down run by lots of kids messing about what ended up us having to visit the a&e with my daughter, we had finished getting food and headed to the toilet me and my daughter when In and my son stayed out side with the dog there was also another family with a dog going in to the men’s as we was just washing are hands there was the loudest bang I screamed and grabed my daughter out of the toilets wondering what had happened she was crying holding her ears , she has had a op on her ears and finds loud noises unbearable. The man came out with his son and was furious one of the staff had decided to get one of the most loudest fire crackers and through it in to the toilets he thought it was funny. When we got back to are caravan I called the manager and all she said that she can not stop her staff from messing about when there on there brake Disgusting attitude and no apology or accepting responsibility and the snaps they sell are legal and they can throw them where ever they want then we was walking past a few week ago and staff giggling as another member was taking the pi** out of an elderly man as her was passing well all I can say is what goes around comes around .

After heading down to the beach and having fish and chips on the prom we climbed the steps up to the gardens and stumbled across a very nice park with electric go carts which were 20p a go!!!!!! Crazy golf. Boating lake a cafe trampolines and Pedal cycles. There is also a little park with swings and play areas.
It was a good day spent had we just headed down to the beach and back up the same way we would have missed it all.
It was a nice place to spend the day. We parked in west avenue car park which was £9 for the day.

There was lots to do here - cafe, park equipment, crazy golf, trampolines, mini go-karts and lots of open space to run off energy. We walked through the park on our way down to the beach and stopped off for some lunch and delicious hot doughnuts. A great park for children especially!

We come to Filey a lot and usually start our visit from Glen gardens and yet we have somehow never eaten here.
After the disappointment of the fish and chip saga the previous day, we were all five of us able to eat for less than £20.
Hot beef sandwich and chips was huge, two bacon sandwiches, a sausage sandwich and apple pie with cream. There were enough chips to share round.
I was particularly fond of the plates and bowls that were identical to the ones we had at school :)
Great value hot meal served by kind staff.

I love this place. My son and I come here all the time. The cafe and staff are lovely. There is lots to do in summer and plenty of green space to put down a blanket and have a pic nic. There is a play park with lots for the kids to play on and some little coin operated electric cars (20p a go)
The sea is 5 mins walk from the park and crazy golf is also near to the park.

We had an hour to kill before we could check in to the caravan park so after a 3 hours in the car we thought we’d stretch our legs take the dog a walk around the park.
Nice park with wooden sculptures, we didn’t use the cafe but it looked nice.
The parking was expensive though.

Very nice little park with lots of activities to interest kids. I was here with a couple of oldies so we enjoyed the cafe. We just had drinks and a toasted teacake which was good, and the staff were friendly. I really liked the look of all the scrummmy looking ice creams and desserts on the menu so will definitely be back here agin next time we are in Filey!

Play things for the grandchildren like trampolines and swings. Cafe and ice cream. Lots of shade. A beautiful walk from the park into town along the seafront. Plenty of parking. £5.50 a bit steep but worth it. Flat !!

Are the trampolines, crazy golf, boating lake, open tomorrow.
I was just wondering whether you know if lido/paddling pool has reopened? I have been googling away but can't seem to find any info. Thank you very much.
