Managed to park up easily in the main town car park. Found the museum at second attempt, walked past it the first time. It’s only small but crammed with information. There were 2 ladies at reception and they were very lovely. They were full of info about the town and they directed me to the riverside and told me nice places to go. It’s great when you find someone like that, it saves time looking for places, so it was a bonus to chat to them. They are obviously a great asset to that little museum. Loads of things inside and tells the story of the town. I learnt a lot.

Read about this and had walked past it but never gone in. Glad I did! Small but interesting but what makes a visit worthwhile is the staff. Very knowledgeable and friendly. This really should have a bigger place to attract more visitors. If you like interesting historical facts, please visit.

It was my first visit to the museum and I really enjoyed the display and learning more about the town I now live in.

We popped in to find some information on one of the building nearby. We had a good look around and learned some interesting facts about the town. We chatted to the volunteers on duty and found them extremely helpful. This museum is an excellent visitor centre.

The only real drawback to this place is the lack of signposts. Once you do find, it really is worth it. Lovely lady as I entered made me feel welcome, and everything was neatly laid out and user friendly.

Small from the outside but amazingly tardis-like inside. Loads of interesting local facts, photos and books.
Stunning window tribute to the Queen complete with knitted corgi! A genuinely warm welcome from the knowledgeable volunteers made our visit memorable. Well worth the entry fee of nothing! Will definitely return

This is easy to find as it is in center of town. Nice helpful volunteers who gave us a map of town and marked every place we wanted visit for us.(we had not been to town before) The museum is light and bright and well laid out, really interesting local information about people and buildings round town. A area with bygone toy building sets which brought back memories (we are a bit/// aged) Would like to visit again when more time.

Visited this lovely small museum as we spotted it as we were walking along the main shopping street in Sleaford. We were here for the Heritage Open Day but didn't know this was here. A great welcome from two very knowledgeable gentlemen who gave us a brief history of Sleaford and what we could see in the museum. Don't be fooled it is a lot bigger than it looks and has lots of local information and things to see.
It is very bright inside so you can see things easily. A most enjoyable visit and we will return as its one of those places that you will find interesting even after a couple of visits.
