Customer service second to none. Fabulous food too.

Brilliant service. Having just walked out of another pub due to appalling service we popped into the Tally Ho hoping they could fit us in. How this place had spare seats on a Sat night, I do not know. Friendly, efficient staff, amazing service and fabulous food. This place could give lessons on the art of making customers feel comfortable and valued. They really bent over backwards to make us feel welcome. Having been served in the previous pub by a surly young individual who quite frankly epitomised the worst of today's youth, the young bar lady in the Tally Ho was a welcome relief. Funny, confident and totally costumer focused she showed how it should be done. The staff at the TH turned what could have been an absolute disaster of an evening into a really enjoyable one. This place would get a 10 from me and we will definitely be back.

Good character accomodation and excellent food
Feb 2020
My wife and I stayed for 2 nights as very close to Aswarby rectory for a wedding. Rooms typical for this type of accomodation with lots of character and comfortable. Owner very friendly and we had more than 1 chat, but in an unobtrusive way. We had Dinner on one of the nights and can safely say it was excellent - tomato soup as starters, sea bass and steak (no desserts as we were more than well fed by this stage.) Being rural there is of course no local shop/s but we knew this and no problem. Would highly recommend and stay again ourselves.

Great food

We dropped into the pub while staying into the local area, we weren't sure what to expect but had a very enjoyable freshly cooked, good tasting meal.
Food prices are very competitive with the area and we enjoyed our meal.
Staff are very attentive and friendly & helped make our visit very enjoyable.

Good for Sunday Lunch

Nice little pub just off the road to Bourne from Sleaford. Great Sunday lunch at fair price. Gardens to sit in when sunny & plenty of parking.

What is there not to like?

Have just returned from staying with my wife at The Tally Ho Inn.

We stayed in the King Size room and we were really pleased with it. It was simply decorated, but everything you needed was there and it was clean.

The owners were both fantastic. Making every effort to ensure our stay was pleasurable.

However, the absolute highlight was the food !! We were completely blown away. We had an evening meal and breakfast, both could not be faulted. My wife had the Pork Belly and said it was the best pork dish she has EVER eaten. My steak was cooked to perfection and the blue cheese was delicious. Breakfast was exceptional. Freshly cooked, so a little wait but so worth it.

Sharon and Sean were the perfect hosts and we would return here again !!

Beautiful & Homely
Mar 2019 • Couples
The Tally Ho Inn was excellent. The owners were very friendly and professional; they always had time for us and were very attentive. Their food was gorgeous, you can get free breakfast with your booking and in their pub/restaurant with the lovely roaring fire you can buy an exquisite, top quality meal aswell. Both my wife and I were bowled over by the food. In particular, I need to mention their daughter's very own sticky toffee pudding. I have ordered this dessert from many restaurants and this was, by a country mile, the best I've ever had! The consistency, texture and flavour were all absolutely perfect, clearly crafted by someone who understands what they are doing. The caramel sauce really was something special. I would keep that recipe a closely guarded secret as I have not found anywhere that can come close to this dish.
My wife and I are animal lovers so we loved the countryside location and the on-site chickens roaming around were delightful. The Tally Ho uses eggs from these and you can certainly tell; they are delicious. These chickens were rescued from an obscene place known as a battery farm and they now live a happy life, roaming around the Tally Ho Inn! The extremely friendly and beautiful owner's cat who roamed around (but didn't chase the chickens!) was also a bonus and added to the homeliness of the place. We would certainly visit again.

2nd visit after 3 years
Aug 2018 • Couples
We stayed here back in 2015 when we went to vivaskegvegas a VW show in revesby! It was so nice to come back while doing the show again. It was just as we remembered it. The host are so friendly, always chat with guests and make you feel so welcome. We had room 4, the king room, same as last time. Room was very comfy, plenty of parking and breakfast was delicious. We would definitely recommend and will always rebook if we are back in the area. Loved the friendly chickens too :)
Only thing that could make it a little better would be WiFi in rooms so you dont have to sit in bar area to upload photos or search internet for places to visit, journey planning etc but not a massive issue!

Brilliant

We stayed here for 2 nights after attending our daughter's graduation at RAF Cranwell. It was lovely. Clean room, lovely bed, very cosy and fantastic parking right outside. The food was amazing. The hosts were so nice. Nothing was too much for them. We had a party of 8 and each one of us came away happy. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Little gem
Mar 2018 • Couples
From arrival to departure everything was perfect. Sean and Sharon were the perfect hosts looking after our every need going above and beyond! My partner forgot her make up and Sharon kindly provided her with make up to save the spin into town. The food was some of the best we have both sampled (my partner is vegetarian and hard to please)! It was no trouble to the kitchen to make a beautiful risotto for her.
Little gem of peace and tranquillity in a beautiful countryside setting.
Highly recommend.
