Lovely park for wild fowl for photography No facilities. Nothing for children. Grass area's & footpaths are nearly always flooded in wet weather. The car park is disgrace in Winter. It has numerous pools, permanently, & is very chalky, leaving your footprints everywhere. Apart from that, it is very good.

Lovely area with large lake and a solid footpath all the way round so suitable for wheelchairs. We saw swans with sygnets, ducks, geese, moorhens etc and also many fish in the shallows. Several people were fishing. The car park is free but the major problem with the park is that the toilets seem to be permanently closed. It would be nice to spend longer here but time is limited by the lack of facilities.

Partly well kept but in other places a little overgrown, also the maps are faded and mostly unreadable, which is a shame. Luckily for us, some locals gave us excellent directions. Worth a visit, as it’s free to visit, lots of space for walkers, or cyclists.

We came here for a walk as we were staying nearby at the Premier Inn.
Its a small park in a nice setting. I must admit I preferred the seafront walk at the end of Meridian Way.
There is decent parking and its well signposted.

We are familiar with Cleethorpes. Famous for its seafront attractions and fast food.
The sign for the country park was something we had seen but mostly ignored but when we decided to explore one day , we were pleasantly surprised.
The lake and the adjoining acres of greenery are a complete contrast to the hustle bustle of slot machines and burger bars. The lake even has a dedicated area for dogs to swim. In fact on the day we visited , one dog was enjoying this facility so much , he swam in the opposite direction every time his owner called.
There is no visitor centre or café as you might find inland but the park is only five minutes out of town so refreshments are never far away.

What a lovely place to walk your dog, there's a nice area set aside for the dogs to swim in which my dog loved even though it was cold. 3 different walks of Varying lengths depending on how energetic you are. A lovely doggy oasis in a county that I have found to be mostly dog unfriendly.

Perfect for walkers, picnickers, kids and furry babies.
Free to enter or it was when we visited.
Plenty of space to have a picnic, for kids and dogs to blast of their energy and run around.
Lake situated in the middle to walk around and even a seperate doggy swimming area.
A lovely hidden gem.

What type of fishing licence do you need, is it the one for ponds, lakes and reservoir or the other one for rivers streams drains and canals? Environment agency says the river streams and the resort hub says ponds and lakes. I know I need a separate permit. I'm trying to buy as a birthday surprise and want to make sure I buy the right one, thanks

Does it have a current green flag award?
Written May 18, 2020
Yes the Park does have a green flag award, it has only applied for it twice and has got it. It’s a beautiful walk around the lake and parkland.

Hi, I walked through the housing estate leading to the park and around the lake and I did not see any toilets of café. The boating lake which is a 5 minute drive away did have both.
I hope that helps.

Can you use disposable BBQs here?
Written May 5, 2018
The gates to car park close at dusk, but access on foot or bike can be made at other non vehicle points around the park, go to North East Lincolnshire council website for more information.

Is there a cafe and toilets and what is the postcode, please?
Written March 7, 2017
DN35 0PB I think there are toilets but no cafe. But a bit further down the road is a pub selling carveries etc, there are two fish and chip shops nearby (one with a cafe) and you are about a mile or so from Thorpe Park and Beacholme holiday parks ... hope this helps
