Spent a great few hours here. Walked around the lake and saw all sorts of interesting birds. Really friendly service at the boats, we were hopeless at rowing but it was a fun and a really good price for 6 people and 2 dogs! Ate in the restaurant, and while it wasn't cheap, it was delicious and large portions.

We walked all round the lake and came across three different types of geese and loads of ducks and other birds and found it very entertaining watching them wander around and in and out of the water. It was mid-week so it wasn't busy and we had the place basically to ourselves which was really nice. A lovely place to sit and watch the world go by!

I visited the sand pit on 23 July 2020 with my 4 year old grandson and I was sad to see how poorly maintained it was after being taken over from Cleethorpes council last year. The pathway around the inside and the seating area was covered with sand and weeds. My grandchildren love playing here and it is an important part of the lovely walk around the boating lake, Please urgently take action to maintain the sand pit for our visitors, the walkway and seating is looking so grubby.

What an awful place. It is disgusting. It’s full of bird poo. You cannot walk anywhere without getting covered in poo, be it your shoes or the pram wheels. Why can’t the lake be fenced off to keep the poo machines inside the lake. Why don’t the council send a little road sweeper round to clean the footpaths?? Also the lake is dangerous & does need a fence as my dog lost her footing & fell in the lake. It’s a good job she was on her lead & definitely a good job it wasn’t our grandson. This place is not what it used to be 30 years ago when my children were little. Won’t be visiting again in a hurry

The sheer number of swans, ducks, geese and moorhens on here is a spectacle. I dread to think what might happen to someone who produced a slice of bread, they might vanish under a seething mass of waterbirds and never be seen again. To say this is a boating lake, well I wouldn't fancy steering a boat through that lot. Great fun to see!

We enjoyed a stroll around the lake in the bracing weather of sunshine and showers. A bag of mixed seeds was quickly devoured by the resident ducks, geese, moorhens and swans. We noticed an unusual looking goose and others which we had never seen before.

Love this place! The park is great for kids of all ages and the adults can enjoy a drink or a coffee while they play.
Duck food is for sale in the shop.
You can hire rowing boats and pedalos at reasonable costs.
A lovely little place to pass a couple of hours with the children.

A really great place to spend an hour or so. Easily accessible all the way around for prams. Bridge over has two or three steps which may not be easy for wheelchair users.
Plenty of benches around the lake and opportunities to feed the ducks and geese. Duck food available to purchase. Toilets onsite although not the greatest, are welcomed.
Lake is split into a boating half and fishing half. Row boats and pedalos available to hire on the lake. So many waterfowl about.
A large children's playground is also in the area with sand pit and the small train comes past. It is only two minutes over the banking to the footpath to the main beach.
There is also a Chinese restaurant at the back of the lake and a bus cafe in the car park.
Large car park behind reasonably priced and plenty of ice cream places along with a further building selling icecreams, burgers, coffees and donuts.
100% worth visiting.

Had a walk around the lake and it was nice.
Got a drink from the cabin where you can rent the boats.
We didn't fancy the effort to put into the pedalos or rowing boats but it was nice watching others enjoying them whilst we rested on a bench. The people seemed to enjoy it.
You can buy food to feed the ducks and geese too.
There is parking and charges, which was reasonable from memory.
There are toilets and an ice cream van too.
Had to treat myself to an ice cream whilst by the coast.
