Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway is a fantastic way to see the resort of Cleethorpes. Steam and diesel locomotives on the 15" gauge track take visitors on a two-mile journey along the seafront, stopping at three stations. But the attraction is much more than a railway. It includes a tea room, The Signal Box Inn - reputed to be the world's smallest pub - a gift shop, locomotive sheds and workshops.

Done a full round trip on the railway on Sunday 14th August; and enjoyed every aspect of it. Fare prices are well and truly reasonable, especially as they help keep the railway running. The on-board views of the park, promenade and seafront are nice; the rolling stock is great (a miniature steam loco named 'Effie' and internal combustion powered Rio... More

Took the lollipop train then got on this train. You can go to different places. We got a return ticket. Little kids will love this however our train had more adults on! This was also good value for money. All the staff were friendly and talking to the kids and answering questions. Well worth a ride.

I can say it was a reasonably pleasant trip along the coast. Coaches a little small, but managed to get in and out, slowly I might add. Beach Chalets at one end were a mixed bunch, but generally unsightly. Not the railways fault. We had fish, chips and mushy peas with bread and butter followed by a sweet. Tea and... More

This little railway is fantastic for families. Enjoyed a stop at the smallest pub on the planet. Well worth a trip for "Thomas" fans.

Three stations means you can plan your route as you wish we decided to walk to the far end to see the boating lake etc by foot and then got the train back having had ice cream at the middle station en route:) There were two trains running so got a good collection of photos on the way and plenty... . So very helpful and organised to support those in wheel chairs. Great staff .We went for a day out and included a ride on the small railway. My wife is in a wheelchair. There is a special carriage designed for wheelchairs and motor scooters. But the young guard was brilliant. He saw us coming and approached us offering assistance.... More

This was our second visit and it wasn't as good this time. The facilities and staff are great but there are two criticisms, If steam is your thing then call ahead, the day we visited no steam trains were running. Should have been here yesterday they said. During my first visit the gift shop featured items for railway enthusiasts now... More
