The windmill wasn't working when we visited, not enough wind but it was still worth the trip climbing all the way up to the top. We were told all the history and its mind blowing to think how it was built without modern technology Well...More

This is a great little gem in Alford. The staff where fantastic and spent a lot of time with us telling us the history and how the mill works. The miller also opened the door and allowed us onto the walkway. Very reasonable entrance fees,...More

The windmill is definitely worth a visit, we used the attached tea room and although the chocolate drink and coffee were good the lemon cake was a bit dry. Still worth a visit.

I can only apologise for this situation, but if staff are not available, we can either try to serve people or close our doors (something we are going to have to do this month as things have now reached the point where we cannot cope)....More

Yes, we love dogs. Well behaved dogs are welcome on-site and in the shop and tearoom. The mill has to remail out of bounds as it's a place of food manufacture. Water bowls are scattered around the place! :)
