This place is an absolute gem at Scalford, Melton Mowbray. You are greeted by the fabulous noodle, who will show you where to go for tea and cakes. Noodle is a 12 year old beautiful dog who loves all her visitors. Anna and Noodle have worked hard to make this tea/coffee shop what it is today. It is surrounded by beautiful countryside. So peaceful and quite and the secret garden is to die for. You can also buy some excellent lose leaf tea. Anna does wonderful tea talks and runs star gazy club as well as selling lots of items from tea pots to local arts and crafts. Please go along and see them.

As a non coffee drinker I was really looking forward to visiting this lovely tea garden. I'd forgotten how great tea tastes when served in fine china. The owner is so friendly and helpful you almost feel she is welcoming you into her home. The rose tea was delicious as were the cakes. The real star is the fabulous Noodle who met us from the car park and showed us the way. Quirky Englishness at it's very best. Loved it

Thank you so much for visiting and taking the time to write a review. So glad you enjoyed your Old Brickyard experience, the rose tea and cakes. Noodle is definetly the star of our show! She loves rounding customers up. We like to think of the tearoom as our home. So it's always a pleasure to welcome people in and make them feel right at home. We do hope you can visit again soon.

Had a brilliant day at the Brickyard Tea Room at Scalford today. We took our two Classic cars to the annual car, motorcycle and craft day. Lots of interest in our cars. Thanks Anna for a wonderful day.

Visited this simply lovely Tea Garden today for the first time. An amazing selection of loose teas to suit every taste we’re sure. Oh coffee too, although we were definitely in a tea tasting mood. Plenty of excellent advice from the lovely lady on duty. The Tea Room is an emporium of local crafts with some amazing ranges to suit all price pockets. We were met by the loveable Noodle who was happy to receive two new guests, she works really hard so we were pleased to hear she has a basket of special treats as her pay. A delightful hour spent in a beautiful setting, we will certainly be returning especially as we didn’t make it to the secret garden due to the weather. A must visit place for definite.
