You have to pay 3 pounds but the walks and park are great. They offer a child’s activity where you have to find various book themed characters. That is 3 pounds also. I’ll definitely be back when it’s a little warmer.

We love this place, especially as it’s right on our doorstep. Cycle trails, walks and a brilliant cafe (can be a long wait at busy periods) and a bike hire/sakes shop. Lovely play area for the children too.

Use this site regularly to push the grandkids around the lake to get some fresh air and look at the wildlife. Good facilities for adult coffee and cake afterwards Regular visitors should buy a parking season ticket.

This is one of our go to places for a short walk on all weather surfaces. The route round the lake takes us about 30 minutes at a fairly modest pace. It was very busy today, Sunday, with dog walkers and families walking or cycling....More
