The breakfast menu has a great selection and all the meal options include a drink which makes it great value for money.
The “Matt’s Breakfast” is huge and really good, “Rosie’s Breakfast” has plenty of pancakes or waffles and “Gemma’s Breakfast” is lovely with a delicious hollandaise sauce. Decent decor, lovely staff and tasty food. Lots of outdoor seating at the back.
Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend for breakfast but you do need to book. Can’t comment on other food but if breakfast is anything to go by I imagine it will be tasty!

Great venue - love the layout of the pub, with all the split levels,

Would have loved to have tried the beer, but was driving so drank some Becks Blue, which was only £2 a bottle.

The pub had a live band - The Next Step, who were excellent.

Top night!

Great pub, very welcoming landlord and landlady. A huge draw on a Saturday night is the live music. A regular haunt of ours

This pub used to be a great little place. It was decorated after a refurb and the landlord and lady had it really cosy with pictures adorning every wall, a really cosy atmosphere and friendly welcome.
Having friends that live locally we always called in before going for a meal and on returning from said meal as it's only a stones throw from friends house.

After popping in to meet friends before going into town and after having not been in there for a while our mouths hit the floor when we walked in!!!

Gone were the lovely pictures from the walls to be replaced by musical notes drawn on the walls, wires for what looked like a dodgy karaoke set up all over the place.
We went to the bar to be ignored by a young man who was more interested in finishing his pie behind the bar before he thought of serving us, then when we thought he was about to serve us his phone beeped and off he went to read a text message.
When we got our drinks we sat down to wait for our friends. After about 10 minutes a man who I believed to be the landlord came over to our table with a huge speaker and roll of cable and said to us. "You're gonna have to move, I need to put this speaker there"

We couldn't believe our ears!! Not a "Do you mind moving please" Nothing so much as an apology, from a very, very rude person.

Manners cost nothing, and we shall never ever be returning to this ghastly abode.

Only started going in recently but am becoming a regular. Friendly management and good beer. Cosy lounge and good company if you like to stand at the bar. Well behaved dogs welcome. You might be lucky and chance on some really good live music on a weekend night. Regards Bob.

Think the last reviewer has posted on the wrong White Lion. This has been my local for 40 years. The custodians Mike and Julie have got it going on here. They have done a great job to turn this place around into a warm, welcoming local again. Live music every saturday when the place is bouncing and a quiz night on thursday that packs them in. A friendly environment with great real ales and nice locals.

I want to go in as I have heard nice things about it but it looks so dirty on the outside. The car park is full of litter, cigarette ends by the steps to go in. Doesn't look at all inviting! I'm sure more people would come if you worked on these points!

Although this isn't the biggest pub for live music, it has to be acknowledged that they are prepared to give live music a chance. We've been here on several occasions and been more than happy with our night out. Live music is always a great addition to the atmosphere of a pub in the evening and on top of this, the pub has a good variety of real ales. The owners appear to be very pleasant and polite. Well worth giving it a chance so keep an eye out for a live music night.

Newly taken over. Some new pictures on the walls but still the same old place. Good beer and a good atmosphere.

Visited with the wife for the first time.
A small, cosy and friendly pub. Reasonable prices. Very busy on Saturday night and the live music was great.
It's not a local pub to us so need to use a taxi but we were impressed enough to agree we will return.
