I had been looking for a 70's Music Centre to play my old records and tapes on for about 12 months . Luckily , the missus and I decided to visit Time Train.

I popped upstairs to flick through the vinyl to see a nice Sharp player playing a Stones album . The sound was fantastic , so I asked if the unit was for sale.

Lisa and Matt agreed to sell it and for a fair price - Happy Days !
Pleasure to deal with these guys.

Everything from clothes to lava lamps, records and CD's to toys. A very interesting shop and the cakes looked good too!

I don't usually leave reviews on visits to shops, but I noticed on Facebook, the owner of The Time Train prompting customers to leave positive reviews on Trip Advisor. I visited today and whilst there was some unusual and interesting stock in the shop, the customer service from the owner was sadly lacking. My partner and I were not greeted, a simple question was given a rather curt response and we received no "goodbye" on leaving, as the owner had his head buried in the computer. We had heard about the food and had planned to eat there, and we are both keen collectors but this experience did not make us want to spend our money there. Whilst I don't like over-enthusiastic shop staff, simple, friendly customer service makes a massive difference to a customer and I am only leaving this review as the owner asked for customer reviews on his Facebook page.

Ok, how utterly ridiculous! Lisa was busy valuing an item for a customer, and I was in the cafe. If I remember rightly another customer was stood at the desk with a 5ft teddy bear! I’m very very sorry that the world doesn’t revolve around you. Next time your passing I’ll roll out the red carpet and make sure we deal with no one else but you. Have a wonderful life.

Called in sunny, busy mid Saturday afternoon for the advertised ice cream and a light snack. Waited 5 minutes at the cold counter with no staff about (there was a queue forming behind us!). Weirdly this appeared a retro junk shop with a cafe upstairs. A young girl eventually appeared and we first asked for ice cream - only to be told she couldn't serve it, she didn't know how(?) and didn't know where the tubs or the scoops were? We didn't ask for coffee or cakes as we were too stunned at her response! Instead we went down the road to the lovely Chocolate Shop, had the best ever brownies ice cream hot chocolate and coffee! Doubt it we'll ever bother going here again!

Hello there. Oh dear! We are so sorry to hear you won’t be joining us again. We feel it’s a real loss on your part to not enjoy spending time with us and the lovely folk who enjoy our shop. Our shop is a collectibles shop, a retro junk shop yes and you say weirdly like that’s a bad thing? That’s what we pride ourselves on. Bringing something a little different to the high st. We have a small seating area where we serve lovely coffee, locally made cakes and ice-cream and bites to eat. We are currently away so the lovely James who you sadly didn’t have the pleasure of meeting was manning the shop alone with help from Emily. Emily is currently training so just learning the ropes, which she should have mentioned on her first day, She most certainly went about it the wrong way in saying she couldn’t serve ice-cream, we will discuss this with her of course. James had a busy day on Saturday and will have been briefly busy at the other counter but we never leave anybody waiting over prolonged periods, it’s unfortunate you visited on a day where we weren’t all in. Our food will be back on once we return as we are between our winter and summer menu and didn’t want to start it until we were all back up and running with our normal hours which is this coming week. We are really pleased you went to the choc works after leaving. It’s a super little independent Spot, we’d of hated you had ended up at one of the big high st chains! Thanks for supporting local! I do hope you didn’t waste any of your time in their presence writing your review, by all means in future when you search us in frustration, please call our number and speak to us, we are real human beings that actually really care and we would of happily discussed any problems or negative experiences you may have had in your 5 minutes in the shop. But I guess we do live in a digital world, where instead of talking to people in the real one we write our problems down online. So much more to come too. What a shame you won’t return. People that go home after a day off to leave one star reviews of a brief experience in a shop are normally our favourite kind of customers. Oh dear indeed.

Excellent shop that is surprisingly big when you get inside! Full of unusual things, some things are very bizarre indeed!
Certainly worth a visit. You may pop in just for an old LP or rare vinyl, but you'll end up buying some strange brass scientific laboratory instrument!
It's recently moved from it's previous home and they have also now got a coffee shop with a really snug area for relaxing. This is a cool place!

Absolutely love this place - can get lost for hours scouring through the amazing stock they have; from the nostalgic, to the curious, to the fun and quirky. Not to mention this shop has the best vinyl record collection around. I visited again this weekend and they now have a room dedicated to vintage clothes and are serving food! Had the best toastie I've ever had and a delicious ice cream to go. This shop gets better and better!

Another visit over Pendle Hill to have a look at there new set up with the vinyl having moved to the other side of the shop, really well set out and plenty of room to browse through and as always very reasonably priced. Well worth a visit if you are ever nearby.

Absolutely love this shop, could spend hours in there looking around, lots of cool quirky stuff, plenty of vinyl to choose from, and the customer toilet is absolutely deadly. Staff are sound as a pound, without a doubt one of the best retro shops in clitheroe.
