Birthday Pamper Treat
Nov 2019
My daughter purchased a Groupon voucher for two spa treatments for two people, which included the use of the facilities (pool, jacuzzi etc). The spa treatments included were either a hot stone back & shoulders massage or Swedish back & shoulders massage plus a green tea facial. Myself and my husband used the voucher and both opted for the Swedish massage for back and shoulders (with a green tea facial after the massage). On the plus side - both treatments were great and the therapists & staff here were welcoming and friendly. The 'very good' rating is based on the treatments and the staff here - the pool and changing facilities would probably be 'average' rating (IMO). There is water with lemon slices in to drink after the treatments, and the therapists will bring a drink of water to you when your treatment is completed. Therapists should also be letting their clients know to drink more water to help flush out toxins released during (and after) the massage.

As commented by others here, the pool area and locker/changing room area is rather tired and could do with a refresh (some lockers were not working, broken coat hooks in changing cubicles etc). We only went into a jacuzzi for about 15 minutes or so then got dried - ready for our treatments. I think the photos shown on the website of the pool area must be years old! Things seemed OK cleanliness wise though. In the ladies changing room, many lockers do not work, though the ones that do, are a good size for belongings - including hangers for coats etc. Make sure your locker is working before putting all your stuff in (something I didn't do and had to take everything out again and try another locker). You get your locker token at reception (£1 refundable). Robes can be hired for £3. Towels are provided anyway. Take your own flipflops/pool shoes. The ladies changing area seems to have plenty of showers and is a good size. Another plus point for the changing rooms (ladies & gents) is that there are a few private changing cubicles and a working swimsuit spinning machine just in the ladies changing room.

Fabulous

I came with my friend for the groupon offer for two. Both ladies performing the treatments were always polite and professional throughout the whole process. The massage was wonderful and very relaxing. The facial was also very good and left my skin very soft, we used the pool and jacuzzi after our treatments and this was a nice finish to the day. We did order lunch in the bar but the food was awful and I wouldn’t recommend it, I would like to point out that the food is provided by the hotel it’s self and is not a part of cleopatras spa. Would definitely book the spa day again. 5 stars ladies 👍

Lovely day start to finish
Mar 2019 • Couples
LOVE the lemon sherbet smell leading up to the spa.
Tanya gave me a lovely, relaxing stone massage followed a green facial.
Blackheads gone and my eyes are brighter than ever! I really rate the facial!
Tanya is a credit to Cleopatras. Such a warm welcome, I didn’t feel uncomfortable once (I do pretty much every where I go)
She explained everything clearly and directed me to the spa facilities as my mum was having her massage and facial first.
We booked last minute so our treatments were separate. We didn’t mind at all and we knew this when booking. The spa was very quiet too, It all worked out perfectly.
I see a lot of people complaining about the spa, for a 3 star it’s great. 2 jacuzzis, one modern and normal, modern steam and sauna, both very clean.
We purchased the groupon £42 each offer for 2 treatments and use of facilities. I was surprised at how close the pool is considering Cleopatras is completely separate to park hall leisure. You can finish your treatment, was 10 steps and be in the pool.
We definitely got more than we paid for. Will definitely return. Thank you x

Birthday treat
Mar 2019 • Family
I’d been given a birthday present for a spa day for 2 at Cleopatras, took my daughter with me. Firstly the treatments at Cleopatras. We were welcomed by friendly staff, given a towel, £3 each for robe hire. The hot stone massage was amazing, my therapist knew exactly where my painful knots were, my Daughter thoroughly enjoyed hers as well and the green tea facial was relaxing, I literally could have stayed there all day. A brilliant experience.

It’s just a shame it is where it is. Don’t get me wrong the pool, jacuzzi, steam rooms are ok but Park Hall site itself looks derelict and neglected, and is sad to see. The pools look in need of some serious TLC, but that aside we had a lovely morning, and massive thanks to the staff at Cleopatras, I’d book again, particularly for the massage.

Arrived early and had the place to ourselves. Really enjoyed the main jacuzzi and sauna. As the day progressed our private spa became less so.. but still very nice.
It's nice and warm even outside of the water, so we lounged about and read with many cups of tea.
They have couple treatments but we had booked last minute so we had two solo slots. Treatments were lovely, very professional and deeply relaxing. I would recommend the stone massage to anyone. We will almost certainly be back

Nice Day

I booked a spa day for my mums birthday. We had a lovely day, the treatments were lovely and relaxing. I had no complaints about the spa area or the treatments. Sadly Park Royal is a different matter.....review left on their page.

Needs Lots of Upgrading
I visited the Leisure Club today for a spa day. It’s sad to see such a lovely hotel in need of TLC. The approach road was ok, in need of weeding, gardening and cutting back of weeds. You may find that your driving through an industrial place prior to arriving in car park 6. The actual leisure club is very tired, damp walls, rust on doors, the floor of the pool was damaged, quite rough on the feet and the receptionist looked miserable!! It’s all very dated and need of some TLC.

Would not go back
May 2018 • Friends
I recently visited with my friend for 2 spa treatments. Staff member greeting us was very nice. Had a hot stone massage which was ok but wasn't the full 30 minutes we had booked, the 2 of us was in the same room which we were not aware before. Luckily for us we weren't bothered. When it came to having a green tea facial o was told I wasn't allowed due to me being allergic to fruit (Only told me just as it was about to start even though I put it on the form you fill in before they do anything as they asked then). When I was leaving the treatment room she asked me did I not read the terms and conditions of the email. I hadn't received an email and hadn't contacted them about this as I got told it was just a confirmation. I was then offered for my nails to be painted. The woman was very nice however her language was appalling. And was calling clients and the spa. I took my nail varnish off the minute I got home as it was horrendous (photos attached). I have emailed a complaint 10 days ago and am still waiting a reply. I don't think I'll ever get one.

My friend and I really enjoyed our treatments very relaxing Swedish massage with green tea facial. We had use of the facilities but we was very disappointed. Gym needed a good hoovering and dusting near the weights area.
Pool was ok nothing to shout about apart from seeing a patchy ceiling not something you want to see when your relaxing in a jacuzzi. Steam room is very tiny can’t swing a cat in there.
We won’t be returning such a shame Cleopatra isn’t situated somewhere else as staff are pleasant and service is very good.

Broom Cupboard
Feb 2018 • Solo
I have been to the Eccleston Spa in the past and found it very nice. I thought I would book at Park Hall for a Swedish Massage for a little extra pampering.
The Spa at Park Hall is in an outdated rabbit warren building. I was shown into a room which seemed to resemble a broom cupboard which wasn't ove rly warm.
The yellow towel on the bed was, I hope clean, but had seen better days.
The pillow was grey :-(
My feet weren't wrapped in a towel and felt like blocks of ice.
Very disappointed . Won't go back to Park Hall.
Could hear noise from the swimming exercise class from the pool.
