We were bought this cruise for a birthday present. On arrival we were left queuing on the towpath and invited on board later than the original time we should have been sailing. The boat was very cold and the windows were all damp with condensation. We were told that the bar was open and on buying drinks I was told that I couldn't buy a coffee as the boat would be moving so they couldn't serve hot drinks. I am not quite sure how they manage on an afternoon tea cruise! Whilst buying a soft drink instead, one of the serving crewe walked from behind the bar to the other end of the boat through all the customers with a mug containing a hot drink. That said, the meal was served hot. The veg soup was hot, the chicken dinner was acceptable, served hot, plain meal with no extra sauces. The chocolate cake with cream was shop bought. It was all average. The boat set off 30mins late and arrived back 10mins early. A 2 hour cruise was sailing for just 80 mins. The view through the window could only be seen when we stood up and wiped the window with a serviette.

Saturday 26th October We were looking for something different to celebrate my 60th Birthday and living quite close to Botany Bay and having never been on a barge before ,we thought why not . This was only a small party with my wife ,myself the kids and their partners . We arranged a 3 course meal and a 3 hour cruise .We all boarded at 19.30 and were served our meal of soup ,chicken ,potatoes and veg finish drop with chocolate fudge cake and oh not to forget the cream The meal was hot and tasteful and as good as any restaurant .We finished the food and had few drinks with back ground music playing . It was good to get all the family together and a good way to celebrate my 60th or part of it

Would just like2 say how lovely our experience was we enjoyed it. Prices on the boat for drinks fairly cheap and the soup, roll and little cake and scone was lovely. It was my friends birthday and they remembered they said happy birthday and gave her a candle in her cupcake which was very nice. No pictures I'm afraid but it was worth the price!
